Kava-All Day Dining — Restaurant in Karnataka

To start with, we were blown away by the watermelon virgin mojito and the starter - the pomfret was cooked to perfection. But having ordered Indian fare like biryani (which was nice), we were surprised that pickle wasn't placed at the table, we had to ask for it.

But then my prawns came and they were hard, clearly overcooked and disappointing. But what was even more disappointing was that I'd asked the staff to mention to the chef to keep the food gluten free and as a result they simply skipped the mashed potatoes on my dish. That a hotel at the level of the Marriott couldn't whip up gluten free mashed potatoes for a Rs. 1000 dish was for me terribly disappointing.

Lastly, the dessert menu is undoubtedly the most boring I have ever come across. We skipped desserts altogether.

By Belgaum standards, this is a good restaurant, hence the 4 stars. By Marriott standards,...

We dined here today...the service was sloppy ..a rookie on the job..the upkeep is ordinary ..not expected of a Marriott place..( but I have had this experience in courtyard Chennai too).....main issue is the food...they had local cuisine listed on the menu ...so we got excited ...because we are keen about sampling only the best when we are in Belgaum...we just get 3 - 4 meals here....the chicken in the butter chicken was not tender but chewy..the chicken 65 was very ordinary...but the biggest dissapointment was mutton sukka , pandra rassa...Bad is an understatement ..ghee baat was ghee poured in plain rice ...this will surely be my last meal at this place during....we have 2 more days to...

It was my birthday and we were in Belgaum city. We decided to celebrate my special day in this restaurant. But it was our wrong decision.The food was pathetic, service was ridiculous. Please don't waste your money and time here. I have given 1 Star just because there is no any other option. Very very disappointed by JW Marriot Belgaum.

Reply to your response: It seems from earlier reviews that you are habitual in mismanagement. We have visited your other Meridien properties and know the standards maintained there. If you still don't understand the problem, and ask us for suggestions, better you step down. Hope...
