'Kelagur Tea Point' is located 15-16km (30-40mins in two/ four wheelers) from Kottigehara K.S.R.T.C. Bus stand towards Horanadu. This place is really good pit stop for refreshment and to have some food. It is easy to locate even in the traffic. They serve food (breakfast and snacks) and some other locally available spices here.
There are two store in One can get some good Chai/ Coffee. You can try neer dose, idly and palav and Maggie in the evening if you want to. I don't know about other food items as I didn't tried those. In another one they provide Herbal/ local products.
Pros : Really a good pit stop. Ample parking space. Atmosphere is refreshing. Chai/ Coffee and the food is really good. (Which they prepare after you place your order) One can buy local tea powder Coffee powder and other dried spices for reasonable prices. Wide varieties on the spices, masalas and pickles. They even provide ready mix masalas. As I purchased Chai several tyms it really tastes very good but with less aroma as they don't add much chemicals (I think so) Friendly people. G-pay is available. Washroom is available for both men and women.
Cons : They could've maintain bit hygiene in their kitchen. Not sure about other payment methods (except G-Pay).
Totally a good place for taking break and relax and to shop some chemical free spices. One can even visit the tea factory from here in which you'll find the beautiful view but beware of the curved roads...
