Murali Miltry Hotel — Restaurant in Karnataka

I tried eating in this hotel after watching and was so disappointing. First - they can't handle the huge Sunday crowd and they don't have a system where someone seats the guests based on size and list priority. People throng in and sit even before the one who is eating on the table can was their hands.

Mudde (Ragi Balls) which should be a quintessential dish in Military hotel was full of knots and hard. Again - goes to say that they can't serve large crowds.

The chicken meal had only one good dish which was the chicken gravy with nicely done chicken but there is nothing else to be appreciative about.

We ordered Omlette but got a "Pomfret". The order takers are so busy that they don't even bother to listen completely.

Part of the chicken meal was rice and the servers are going hither thither and we have to shout out for us to be served rice.

The mutton pepper dry which is shown as a signature dish here was also disappointing. The meat was undercooked and very rubbery and we couldn't eat it at all. We didn't want to cancel the order and get something else as it was too tedious a task.

Ambience is not good and since it's a small hotel - super noisy with customers standing behind every chair to grab a seat and servers wading their way through them.

Chicken biryani - the rice was good and chicken was undercooked totally. We had to take the chicken pieces out and eat only the rice to eventually wash our hands and get out of the place.

Before we knew, someone else was sitting on our chairs even before we paid the bill.

Not at all a good experience. Murali being a celebrity has to think over all this and make sure the experience is good. Everyone wants a nice experience and a good taste and I didn't find both here. Sad though. Not a good...

we stopped at this place while driving down the managalore highway, owing the crowd at this place and the intriguing name. We didn't know what military hotels are . And still we dont know why it is spelled 'militry'

There is enough parking space in front of the building and typically you can easily park your vehicle even when its crowded.

The rest rooms are bigger and clean unlike many highway side.hotels

service is quick and efficient

we are bit hesitant to order the fish items there since sea food made in inland hotels in AP/KA are typically bad. To our surprise the fish meals at this place was excellent..They give dried fish podi, fish curry and fish fried with rava coating. We also ordered some neer dosa and masala chicken and that too was good

Overall our experience at this place was excellent. Except for the management's approval tet people booz right in front of the hotel. And they enthusiastically serve dishes to those who drink and smoke there openly. This was the only awful experience for us at murali militry and this was a grave inconvenience for...

140 kms away from our home is this superb place. The place is a basic restaurant setting but the food elevates it to another level and that is why a 20 minute waiting in the middle of nowhere just shows the hype of the place.

We ordered for Chicken Pepper Dry, Mutton Biryani, Mutton Masala, Parathas, Egg Masala and Soft Drinks.

Chicken Pepper Dry is hands down the best I have had in this part of India, Mutton Masala was good, Mutton Biryani was Donne style simply melt in mouth and Egg Masala was great. There was a huge difference in gravies served and each one was upto its own flavours

For the first time the spices were not overwhelming, no overdose of chillies like they generally do in the name of Andhra cuisine or South Indian non veg. No after meal guilt, no stomach bloating as there was no Soda used and the taste was totally nati style.
