– A Serene Pit Stop with Flavors Worth the Detour**
I stopped by Namaste Bengaluru on a road trip down NH48, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most refreshing highway breaks I’ve had in a while. The place has a calm, welcoming vibe with clean surroundings and surprisingly spacious seating—something you don’t always find on the highway.
I arrived early in the morning, around 7:45 AM, just in time for their full South Indian breakfast spread. I ordered a masala dosa and a plate of idli-vada with coconut chutney and sambar. The dosa was just perfect—crispy edges, soft center, and not overly oily. The idli was fluffy, the vada had that crunchy shell I love, and their chutneys, especially the podi version, were delicious. But the real star? Their filter coffee. It was rich, frothy, and full of that authentic South Indian aroma that kicks your senses awake.
What stood out was how clean the place was—from the dining area to the restrooms. There’s also a little green patch with a garden and a play area, which makes it ideal for families. I saw quite a few parents letting their kids run around while they waited for their orders.
On the flip side, I noticed they were already running out of some breakfast items by 9 AM—so timing is key. Also, while service was generally courteous, there was a bit of a delay as the morning crowd picked up. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, just something to keep in mind if you’re in a hurry.
Before heading out, I grabbed a small bowl of kesari bath (because why not), and it was warm, sweet, and soothing—like edible comfort.
Verdict: If you're driving through NH48 and want a clean, family-friendly stop with proper South Indian fare and a peaceful atmosphere, Namaste Bengaluru delivers. Just try to go early and be patient if there’s a crowd. It’s not fancy, but it hits all the right notes where it matters.
Would I stop here again? Definitely—for the dosas and that divine filter...

Relatively new restaurant and about 4 years old. Constructed over a large space with 2 levels of restaurant, a lawn with swings for kids to play and a well maintained washroom facilities and open parking.
The lower level is the main restaurant while the upper level is a Banquet hall which though double up as a restaurant in the event of the lower level getting crowded.
The main retaurant is very spacious and can easily accomodate over 60 to 80 people. Very interesting attraction of the restaurant are the two large ceiling fans which are a sight. The food menu is elaborate though I was a bit dissapointed that what was avaialble in the evening at about 6.30 pm was very limited number of dishes. I think they could have a larger number of dishes availabe
We had Mangalore Buns which was served with chutney and also had Papdi chaat. Both were nice to eat. We topped it up with a round of Filter Coffee served in the traditional metal glass and bowl. Was very well made though would recommend one having the same with less sugar. They also have a range of Paans including a Chocolate Paan.
Definitely worth trying them out if you are on that stretch of the road.
The only concern I had was that the entry and exit is on the highway and one has to be...

Namaste Bengaluru is a great place to stop by for a meal while traveling on Tumkur Highway. The restaurant impresses right from the start with its spacious layout and aesthetically pleasing interiors. There's ample parking, which makes it convenient for travelers and large groups.
The seating area is comfortable and well-arranged, ensuring you have enough room to enjoy your meal without feeling crowded. The menu offers a mix of South Indian, North Indian, and Chinese cuisines, catering to a variety of tastes.
Their South Indian dishes stand out, and they serve one of the best coffees around. Today, I tried roti with palak paneer, which was flavorful and satisfying. For the starter, I had baby corn Manchurian. While the taste was good, it could have been better if served hotter.
The restaurant also has a clean and functional washroom, which is a big plus for highway travelers.
Overall, Namaste Bengaluru is a great option for anyone seeking a good meal and a comfortable experience. Highly recommended for their South Indian...
