This is a review for the restaurant, not hotel rooms. We 10 people went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. One dish was very sour and the other was too salty. Complaining had absolutely no impact on the staff. Asked for crispy roti and very soggy rotis were served. The waitress called the supervisor and told him though she had written crispy roti in order, soggy rotis were served. The supervisor had no courtesy of saying even sorry, he signed the waitress to go away and he also went away without any response or sorry. While paying, I called the supervisor and mentioned the episode to the cashier and when I was talking the supervisor again started moving away. I had to physically hold him until I finished talking. Such an impolite behaviour!! With all these, no one ever felt sorry in the whole lot!!! This is how they behaved even after telling them me and my wife have experience of running a restaurant and we know well about customer care.
I would definitely remember our 30th anniversary but for wrong reasons because of Hotel Pandurang, the disrespectful and unprofessional behaviours of staff. What a disgusting place!!! No one with self respect should visit this place or else you will face a shitty...
Read moreWe tried the food here while traveling to Murudeshwar from Gokarna. It’s a pure veg restaurant and we stopped at this place after looking at so many cars in the parking lot. It was crowded and we waited for 10-15 minutes to get the table and it took another 15 minutes for the staff to take our order. We ordered South Indian thali for all of us along with gobi Manchurian, butter milk and lassi. It took them another 15-20 minutes for them to serve the food. Gobi Manchurian is really good, it was crunchy outside and soft inside with perfect amount of sauce. The South Indian thali is ok, it came with 4pieces of poori, one bowl of rice, one fry, one curry, dal, sambar, pickle, curd and sweet. It was decent in taste but none of the items are worth mentioning. Everything is limited and will not be refilled. Prices are very reasonable and we spent Rs.760...
Read moreThe wheat rotti here was very disappointing—chewy, rubbery, and difficult to eat, not just for elderly people but even for regular customers. When I raised the issue, the staff blamed the fan for hardening it and suggested ordering one by one, despite having already served everything at once. This is not a practical solution. A good restaurant should ensure that food remains soft and fresh regardless of the conditions. Instead of improving the preparation, they made excuses, showing a lack of proper food service.
I didn’t want to argue, so I requested a cancellation, but they refused. When I asked for a parcel without the rotti, they still packed and gave me the same rubbery rotti. To add to the disappointment, the masala papad was also not good.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. Would not...
