This review is for the onam sadhya they recently had. My parents visited this place for onam sadya on tuesday and the price was 350₹ per head and the board said 38 items are served with the names of it.
Food was very much like local taste and not kerala taste at all. They even hyped about chef being a keralite but in suddi interview he said he is from doddathota. No wonder the taste was so much like a brahmin wedding lunch.
They served poori with chole ( not a kerala item) , holige for dessert again which is not a kerala specialty. There were 38 items in the menu board but my parents were served only 25 of them. When she asked about certain items the waiter had no clue. He got the same things again and again and said there is nothing else in the kitchen. When my father asked to get the manager , he never got the manager. He had zero knowledge about food too. The other items were too like local items which had no kerala taste in it. Payasa served were again akki payasa in local method and another payasa which had jaggery in it( kerala has few other ingredients like ginger etc in their famous ada pradhaman) see the photo attached to know what was special in this which is of kerala except some banana chips and the dark colored gravy type. The dishes like mor kozhambu also tasted like majjige huli 😒
If you cant make so many items , at least make a few 10-15 authentic items in the name of kerala sadya.
They also paid for suddi bidugade news channel probably so the video says only good reviews about this restaurant. My mothers full talk was edited and showcased only...
Read moreSantrupthi is a vegetarian restaurant that pleasantly surprised me with its wide variety of tasty dishes. At first, I was a bit confused because there was no clear indication at the entrance that it's a pure veg restaurant, but once inside, the experience was quite enjoyable.
I tried the masala dosa, onion dosa, and pulav — all of them were flavorful and well-prepared. Tomato soup really the next level i can say. The coffee, in particular, was excellent — strong, aromatic, and very satisfying. The North Indian dishes were also impressive and definitely lived up to the hype. The taste and quality stood out, making it worth the visit.
The restaurant has multiple seating options including a normal dining area, an AC room, and even a VIP AC room. The interior was eye-catching and thoughtfully designed, giving it a more upscale feel without being too formal. There’s also a lot of parking space, which made it convenient, especially during busy hours.
The staff were polite and attentive, which added to the positive dining experience. The place was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. While some items on the menu felt slightly overpriced, the quality and taste made up for it. Overall, Santrupthi is a great spot for delicious vegetarian food in a comfortable and...
Read moreThis restaurant Santrupti is right near highway and quiet spacious and arguably the best restaurant around the vicinity in Sullia town. They have a nice parking space too. Hotel is pretty neat and nicely maintained. The food is impeccable in taste. They serve both North and South Indian fare with South being the better one invariably!
Staff are nice and attentive and helpful in terms any diet concerns you have and tell them in advance. They they will be forthcoming and take the care accordingly which is nice to note in a tier 2 town kind of place! Their prices are not high and portions are nice and turn over time is pretty quick. They are usually pretty busy and its first come first serve kind of place so keep that in mind!
It is actually a surprise to such neat restaurant in this town. We enjoyed and are sure...
