Sea Rock Cafe — Restaurant in Karnataka

Pathetic experience. Worst ever service experience one can really have. Rooms were not clean, beds and floors were full of sand. Low ventilation in the rooms. The beds were bunker beds and the cieling fan was placed in such a way that you may find your head chopped off when you wake up. We asked multiple times to the owner to send someone to clean the floor but noone showed up. We asked for even water bottles but noone provided that either.The bedsheets were used bedsheets and full of sand, the rooms and bathrooms were stinking when we reached.

The behavior of the staff was also not tolerable. For any food or drink their first response was it is not possible or it will take time, and at the end all we got was just stale food. The owner also had a very rude behavior, we asked for a packet of biscuit kept on the table in front of her, but she said , " I cannot give you anything, go away" and she switched off the lights. Food was pathetic, stale, of very bad taste, breads don't know made of what, and chocolate parathas in the name of pancakes. Even though we had booked in advance, when we asked if there are any other rooms available the owner ( other reviewers' favorite lakshmi aunty ) rudely replied take this room only otherwise there are other people I can give it to.

A terrible place to spend your time in Gokarna and vacation. There are better places (Zostel), which will be a little costlier but worth the stay.

FINAL VERDICT : BOOK YOUR STAY IN ADVANCE AND DONOT EVER EVER VISIT THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD TIME...

Apparently they have two sets of rooms,one with poor quality and one with slightly better qualities.We stayed at the one with poor quality,as the other rooms were all occupied and the experience was really really horrible.

The lighting is poor,the beds are not clean and the toilets are very small and disgusting. There were dirt and sand all over the place,in beds and they didnt even make the bed when we checked in.There were no chairs and the furniture was old and fragile.Also they did not provide any complimentary toileteries,which you have to buy at double the rates of mrp.Not at all satisfactory for the price.

The only thing worth mentioning is the excellent location of the plot.It is really close to the beach.And the food is decent too.

Not recommended to anyone who plans to have a decent stay at Gokarn.If you plan to have a room here,make sure that you enquire them beforehand and specifically opt for the rooms with better amenities.Never ever stay at the...

I read all the beautiful reviews about Sea Rock and visited there with friends today (8.2.2020). And honestly, this is the worst restaurant/ cafe I have ever been to. Not only is the food horrible, the service is unacceptable. Going by the amazing reviews we read, we ordered quite a lot of food and we had a problem with the lemon chicken starter and the white sauce pasta. There was no sauce in the pasta!! Which we very politely pointed out to the cook who had a massive blow to the ego and took away most of our Order because apparently at sea rock you cannot complain about bad quality food. You’ve to quietly eat what’s served. The cook took away the drinks we ordered and cancelled our order which is insulting and definitely not the right way to treat tourists! Please don’t be fooled by the reviews here. This place is bad and I request you to stay away from Sea Rock if you do not want to get your vacation...
