So we decided to give Bangalore's hustle and bustle a miss and head out of city limits for lunch. We found this restaurant on Google Maps. It is right at the main intersection in town, at the place where the town's main road meets the highway. Self-service is on the ground floor and the service hall is on the first floor. I did not notice a lift. (Neither is there a wheelchair ramp at the entrance.)
Meals are available only after 1 PM. We were half an hour early and had to order ร la carte. I ordered vegetable biryani and my friend ordered peas pulao. To accompany the rice, we first ordered gobi manchurian dry and followed it with mushroom pepper dry. The biryani was rich. It was atypical; it was not very spicy, with the rice seemingly mixed and cooked together with other ingredients . It used red colouring and included an assortment of ingredients that included baby corn, a liberal amount of cashews, and, hold your horses, elaichi! I was lucky with the last. My friend was not. The biryani was served with raitha.
The gobi manchurian was good. The mushroom turned out to be manchurian too though it was garnished with pepper. My friend found it a tad too salty. All servings were large enough to feed two people. We couldn't finish the rice and mushroom and asked the untouched portions in the serving bowl be packed. The request was obliged.
For dessert, we tried the pineapple hollige/obbattu ('boli/poli 'in Tamil and Malayalam) at the sweet shop on the ground floor. The restaurant seemed to be famous for it. Two flavours were available: pineapple and coconut. As with everything else, the hollige was rich and tasty. It was served with ghee.
Be advised that cards are not accepted. There are a number of ATMs nearby though you might have to wait in line for quite sometime to withdraw cash.
All in all, a good restaurant...

They have 2 floors, ground floor is a self-service area and on the 1st floor is they provide on table service
Although most of the people use 1st floor they don't have any seating arrangement on this floor. Here it is bit difficult to find the wash basin as it located near service counter which is usually crowded and there is a pillar on other side
They have all south indian food, Juice and Bengali, marthi and local sweet items. They have one special ghee Gulabjamun which costs โน15 each currently.
They accept cash and UPI mainly although they have card swap machine but they usually avoid to use it.
The major issue here is parking, No private parking space available, one can park his/her vehicle under the over bridge near by on...
