Simple and rustic hotel - but very tasty food. The idlis, vadas and dosas are excellent.
The sambar is a sweetish, flavorful one with lots of herbs - quite unlike the Bangalore variety. The coconut chutney is thick, creamy and mild.
The masala dosa is crisp and glossy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside with a sprinkling of the classic North Karnataka spice powder.
The masala in the dosa is a simple yet brilliant potato and onion palya (subzi) exalted by the sweetness of the perfectly caramelized onions. The ambience of the hotel belies the hospitality and speed of service of the staff.
