We had to stop by at a Khanavali when we were in Badami. Found this place by the name of Shri Veerbhadreshwar Lingayat Khanavali on Google that had quite a decent number of reviews. Opens around 7 in the evening, we were there by 6:30 at which point only chapati meals were available and post 7 is when you would get the Jolada Roti meals.
The Jolada Roti meals was super fresh, softest rotis, and such a pleasant feeling of having something very healthy. Chole curry, cut veggies, chutneypudi, chilli pickle, palya, and some curd. Jalebi was also part of this meal, couldn’t get a photo of that though!
We ordered Kaaju curry as well, but did not entice us that much. Wasn’t creamy and fell flat in terms of taste. Shenga Holige was nice, a title too crispy on the edges, but a decent dish.
White Rice with Sambar was mind blowing! Piping hot sambar tasted heavenly, had this unique taste of sambar and rasam, something I had never come across in Bengaluru! Don’t miss out on the sambar when you are here. The service is good, we sat on the outside, they have rentable inside the home too, do check them out when you...
