SUKHASAGAR VEG — Restaurant in Karnataka

This is a nice place in Chitradurga to have snacks/tea/ice cream etc. Its location is more convenient when you are traveling from hampi to Bengaluru as it is on the left side of the diversion.

Food/snacks/tea are of great quality.

Washrooms are well maintained.

Ample parking space available on the property.

When we came back from the restaurant we realized(after reaching Bengaluru) we forgot a purse with valuables in it. When called the restaurant later, the person in charge (Vishwanath) talked very nicely and checked with us if we are coming back.

After a lot of thought, we decided to go with Delhivery pickup service. Vishwanath sir was not only nice but treated us as family, he suggested not to get the cash delivered via courier and sent us the money(amount in purse) over phonepe. I have never seen gesture like this in the past. Vishwanath nicely double packed the purse and handed over to the pickup person next day.

Never believe the 4.4 stars review I dont know how this restaurant got this much review. We ordered Fried rice, curd rice, gobi manchurian and onion pakoda (from google reviews). Onion pakoda tasted ok. Gobi manchurian was saucy. But still ok. Please check the picture of Curd rice. Rice was very dry and curd rice was not properly cooked and not mushy. Tasted blant. Special fried rice had no vegetables at all. Even the curd rice had some onion and tomato. Even the ambience was not good. I’m not asking for posh or any feel good ambience. It’s lacking basic amenities. The ac was not working. I don’t know why fans were running. Its 33 degree outside. We had to sit outside rather than burning inside. This is a nice restaurant on Hosapete Chitradurga Highway.

Good aspects - The food was tasty and the place was clean. This is a pure vegetarian restaurant. There is ample parking space. The washrooms were decently clean. The Paan shop right next to it makes amazing paan.

Aspects that needs improvement Crowd management needs improvement when there's lot of crowd because Indians aren't yet as matured & disciplined as the Japanese to manage themselves. The latecomers also fight to get a table. I felt that the restaurant had less staff resulting in slow orders & service.
