I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taj Restaurant Shahid, and it truly lived up to its name. The place offers a warm and inviting ambiance, perfect for both casual meals and special gatherings.

What stood out the most was the authentic taste of the dishes – rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The biryani was aromatic and full of flavor, and the gravy dishes like chicken curry and mutton korma were absolutely delightful, with meat that was soft and tender. Even the naan and rotis were fresh and perfectly cooked.

Overall experience was good. Food was good. Went during lunch time 2:30 PM. Decent crowd but no waiting. We got seat almosy immediately.

We had ordered Mutton Biriyani, Achari Chicken, Veg Fried Rice and Panner 65. Mutton biriyani tasted good. 4 large mutton pieces with good taste. Quantity was decent. Serves 2 people with average appetite. Biriyani was made using Seeraga Samba rice. Achari Chicken was having lot of spices and tasted very good with decent quantity. Fried rice was also good along with Paneer 65.

Place was clean and ambience is suited for family. They have separate spaces for large families also. Veg options also tasted good inspite of being a non-veg focussed hotel. They have good parking places for cars infront of the hotel.

Only thing they need to improve is their service. Waiters are not very attentive and we need to try hard to catch their attention. Otherwise, had a good experience here...

Visited this place on last Sunday evening, it was heavily raining and it was worth the effort to reach this place from Frazertown. We ditched all the restaurants in Frazertown and decided to visit this instead. let me list out pros first. •Good quality food with moderate oil and spice level. •Their King Prawns is delicious and juicy. •Dal Khichdi is another dish to try here, very tasty. •Quail fry and dry masala, both were tasty. •Budget friendly and nice tea/paan shop integrated in the restaurant.

Cons: •Quiet far from the city and you have to bear the traffic congestion on Tin factory stretch. •We sat on the dining tables and not family rooms, they need to work on the service and presentation part. •Waiter didn't bother to provide glasses to drink water. •If you are there on a weekend, it's hard to get your orders on time. This place is overcrowded for dinner in weekends.
