We went to this place at 11 30 pm and it was open. It's an upscale cafe located in Golden palms hotel. The place offers wide variety of menu and has a luxurious environment. I would say it's a must visit cafe for the couple's. The pool, the garden the music and interiors have such a calming effect. Additional info I would like to add now is that this pace is about 10kms from hesarghatta lake so a coffee here and later the lake would definitely sort out a weekend. In the night the menu gets limited to very few beverages and some sandwiches. Since it was almost midnight we had called before we reached and made sure that it was open but since the cafe is inside the hotel we were not allowed as the hotel gets closed early. It was all because of one of the arrogant security heads who kept on arguing that place was closed even though it was open. That person would not just let us in. Once we raised our voice it was an easy walk inside. That was the only upsetting part. The place is worth a try for a weekend get away.

Cafe Solaire is an up market dhaba disguised as a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. If you were to tell me this was the only restaurant at an alleged 5 star hotel then I would laugh at you but unfortunately it is true. The food is mediocre in every conceivable way, it is a typical indian hotel restaurant that is a jack of all trades master of none. Menu is vast but lacking character. It is very ordinary. If you look at the property and then look at the restaurant, it feels like they are completely disconnected. The property is grand with Greek sculptures decorating water bodies and gardens and then you walk into this sad excuse for a restaurant that looks like an old building from the 80s which so huge that there is echo, and all you can hear is the air conditioning system. No music, no atmosphere, kinda old(in a bad way) and dirty looking. There is no redeeming quality. I genuinely don't have anything positive to say, they didn't even serve me with the dietary preferences I wanted.

This is pool side setup and ambience wise is very good. Food is average and not at 5 star standards. Also staff would not give you anything based on preferences. The live counters were placed outside and it was self serve. They didn’t switched on AC during breakfast peak hours and everyone was feeling hot. Overall food-wise is not value for money and taste is also very plain. Seems like boiled chicken added to different gravies and no taste.
