I had a very disappointing experience at Ossur Hotel near Sakleshpur. First, the pricing was outrageously high for the quality of food served. Despite the "Pure Veg" board outside, which led us to believe we would get fresh and tasty vegetarian food, the taste was far from satisfying. The dishes lacked flavor and were poorly prepared, making the whole meal feel like a waste of money. The portion sizes were also smaller than expected, considering the steep prices.

What frustrated me the most was the deceptive nature of the restaurant. The "Pure Veg" sign seemed like a marketing tactic to attract customers, but the food did not live up to that promise. This restaurant has its own set of pros and cons. The place is strategically located just at top of the Shiradi ghat road on the Mangaluru Hassan Bengaluru highway, and being an eatery with ample parking space, it provides for an ideal spot to take a break; either after a tiring drive up the ghats or before a challenging drive down the ghats.

That is the main advantage of this place, it has a variety of dishes on offer, but many of them are time bound, like when I reached in the afternoon for a cup of tea, they were just getting the snacks ready.

The seats on the outside corridor too were dusty, understandable since it's located right by the highway, but a little bit of cleaning every now and then wouldn't have hurt. I recommend sitting and dining in this same corridor as it provides a magnificent view of the estate right behind.
