One of the very very few options to have vegetarian food between Sira and Chitradurga. The place is clean and hygienic.
This place offers South Indian, North Indian and Chinese food. We stopped for a lunch and we ordered south Indian chapati meals. It was served on a plantain leaf. We will get pickle, salt, two curries (palya/ ಪಲ್ಯ), two chapatis and sagu, chutney (ridge gourd and peanut mix chutney), a sweet (we got moongdal payasam), papad, colour rice (this is how the how the serving ppl called and it was tomato bath), unlimited white rice with sambar and rasam. Curd and masala butter milk were also provided. Except for white rice, sambar, rasam, sagu and chutney other items are limited.
The price of the meals looked very reasonable. It costed ₹125 + gst. The food was really good though it wasn't great. Chutney was the highlight of the menu. It was really great. The channa curry and the beetroot curry (palya) were good. Payasam was hot and tasty. Chapathi and sagu were also good. Extra sagu and chutney were served. Tomato bath was tasty but was cold. If it was little hotter definitely it would have tasted great. We could eat enough sambar rice and rasam rice as it was good.
The people who served the food were wearing all necessary hygienic wears while they served the food. Most importantly they were mostly women and they were smiling. Also, they served the food very patiently. They frequently enquired about our needs and also asked us to have some more food. The required food item was served instantly. Most of them looked like localities. This is one of the important and most lovable feature of the hotel.
The ambience is not so great but definitely it was calm and relaxing. The restaurant was almost filled. We could see a Korean couple here having Chinese dishes.
The parking is enough for 18-20 cars. Accessibility to this hotel is very easy as it is situated very next to the highway. The rest rooms were also clean.
In total, the experience was good and the meals was worth its money. The hospitality of the staff was really good. Overall...
Read moreIm having huge respect on food industry. So far I never done negative comments even though food was not up to the mark. Because I always respect the effort behind it.
This place was my stop to have my food in banglore to pune highway. In recent two visits I felt quality of food has come down and arrogance of staff has gone up.
Yesterday(21-12-2022, around 10:15 at night) I stopped there for having light dinner. As I forgot my wallet and card at home I was forced to complete my entire journey with UPI. I politely requested cashier to accept UPI payment before ordering food, as I knew they do not accept anything other than cash and card where rest of world is accepting UPI. He said big No for UPI arrogantly and acted as if doesn't matter to loose his regular customers permanently.
I walked out and found a new place (Gurjent Punjabi Dhaba) where u can have fresh & homely food. Owner and staff is kind to accept UPI payment even though they prefer cash payment.
I always believe any nature of business should be customer friendly for it's growth and...
Read moreOverall, i would rate 4 out of 10.
The food was average. The service was fast but ok.
Awkward part is the wash basins at the hand wash area were all choked. It was so unhygienic. And no one from the hotel was bothered to clear it.
From Hubli to bangalore this hotel is exactly half the distance so travellers tend to stop here. But the hotel is not bothered to give proper service.
I dont understand why don’t the hotel provide the basic cleanliness.
Travellers stop not to eat. But to use the wash rooms. And if the wash rooms or toilets are not clean then hotel tend to loose the customers. The basic fundamental is not understood.
Yes, i can understand there might be lot of travellers using the wash rooms. But if the hotel keeps it clean more travellers stop by.
Today wash rooms were really dirty and none of the hotel staff is bothered to clean it.
I request the hotel management to pls have this sorted.
Thank you for...
