Sivmurugaa Restaurants — Restaurant in Karur

I used to visit this chain of restaurants whenever I go around karur area.. Sivamuruga restaurant has many branches there in Karur road.. But this time it was a bitter experience due to poor service in this branch.. We have entered into this hotel en route to coimbatore after a long travel from Kumbakonam and we have asked our kids to wait until we reach this location.. They were all feeling hungry and we made them to wait for this hotel..

We have entered around 10 pm and seated there in family ac room expecting some bearer to attend us.. No one has given any attention despite seeing us waiting there for someone to take orders..

I have lost my patience and reached the one who is cashier table.. He told us someone will come.. Again no one has come to attend us..

After some time , again I asked if someone will attend us or not.. He replied that if we have seated in main hall somebody would have attended and telling that all the bearers for the ac room left the duty for the day..

We came back to main hall seats and waited there.. All other bearers were roaming here and there , but none of them have turned up to our table for orders. ..

I got agitated over their ignorant behavior and shouted at last losing all my patience as our kids were started screaming on their hunger pangs..

After a loud shout out , a gentleman has come and taken the order telling that he thought somebody would have attended us already ..

We had our dinner later and i would say that I all never visit ths branch again and anymore..

One main point, their men's restroom as nasty as a municipal toilet. Men's urinal has no separation partition and it is too close to the other one.. One has to wait until the other one finish his job as it would get spilled on the person who stand beside him..

Unclean toilets and poor design of...

Sivmurugaa restaurant is like an oasis for all veggies travelling on the Salem Madurai highway. We were on our way back to Bangalore yesterday and decided to have lunch somewhere near Karur. If you are traveling on this stretch, you'd realise that it is hard to find any eateries unless you decide to take a detour and head towards Karur. However, Sivmurugaa is located on the service road to the highway. I did not want to stray away from the highway, so we decided to try out Sivmurugaa. Not a very fancy place, but neatly maintained and good enough to have decent food. We ordered meals and it came with carrot soup, 2 variety sweets, 1 chapati, along with your regular south Indian meals with sambar, rasam, Kara kulambu, aviyal, kootu, curd etc. Rice is unlimited and overall the food was tasty and I really loved it. I was damn hungry as I light breakfast and this restaurant turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I usually have acidity problem after heavy meals, but to my surprise, even though I was filled to the brim, I didn't have any trouble. If you are hunting for a good place to eat while on this highway, you should try this restaurant. If you are a veggie, then you'll like it even more. I'm not a vegetarian by the way and would still recommend it. Do ask for the AC hall, it's cozy and a good idea to relax during...

Been there during lunch time.

Unlimited Meals @₹120 is ok on the highway. Taste was ok as well.All my family members liked the meals.Typical Tamil meals on a banana leaf. Not more than 1 serving even when it's sold as an unlimited Meals.Waiters are not coming near the table 😂 😂 However the service needs to be improved. Waiters are literally fighting on serving the customers. Also TIPS is very much expected.

Toilet - They have toilets available outside the restaurant and they are just okayish. Not so clean.

Parking - Lot of parking space. Even some Omni buses are also parked there.

@Hotel Management - Please put a sticker that TIPS are not allowed. Then automatically the service...
