Annapoorna Pure Vegetarian | Thiruvalla — Restaurant in Kerala

We had an early dinner at this place and it was really bad that even I can make better items than this. We had ordered gopi pakkoda, cheese masala dosa, paneer masala dosa, mixed veg noodles, porotta paneer butter masala, coffee and boost. Starter came after one of the main course and with the next main course item. The gopi pakkoda had no flavor what so ever. The pakkods from the local vendors are far superior to this. Cheese dosa was just the normal masala dosa with just 1 sheet of cheese which did not even melt properly. The gravy of paneer butter masala was crushed onion in water with again no traces of butter or cream. Paneer masala dosa was served after we had almost finished eating all the other items and 6 followup. And when the item arrived it was just another disappointment. The service was so bad that they had no idea what the order was and asked us multiple times what is the item that we are waiting for. The quality of dosa, sambar and chutney was too bad for a veg restaurant where this should be their string point. The exterior is deceiving. Once you enter its it just a below average setting except for the price tags. Water leaking from AC to the table and on our hands, molds and fungus on the walls, not so good toilets and the list just goes on. I had already heard bad reviews about the service here but never thought it would be this bad. All together just had a the worst restaurant experience I have...

Yesterday, we had really bad experience with the food from you, @ dinner time Thiruvalla. Ordered some dishes and coffee , and to our disappointment, every single thing except parotta disappointed us. And we avoid to complain about it right then, knowing things like this happens once in a while. And we're paying the price for it really bad, non stop vomiting, stomach pain and fever, clear indication that it's food poisoning. We heard a family next to us complaining about the quality of the food they got. Never expected this from you people, don't know whether the culinary legend pazhayidam Namboothiri knows about, what's happening with the restaurant that carries his name or not!!! This restaurant is ruining his name, serving rancid, poisonous food (not happening to everyone I hope, but certainly to some people) that's affecting people's health really bad. Hope the management will take strict action about this, and assure you serve edible, fresh food only. Don't know whether you people will hide my post or not, but I really wish the management will look into this matter really serious, as you're risking someone's health knowingly or...

I had lunch (pazhayidom sadhya) from here yesterday...

Positives:-

1. reached here late (at around 2:45pm) , they could have easily said NO LUNCH IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME, but they didn't..so i got lunch.. thanks to them..

2. we pay Rs 180 rs for vegetarian sadhya, which is comparatively better than other vegetarian restaurants (where they usually charge 100rs for sadhya etc)

3. Parking space was available

4. staffs are courteous and helpful

5. gpay available, bill also provided

6. food provided is made from high quality vegetables, without food coloring etc..

Negatives

1. I expected a GRAND SADHYA , and was disappointed.. Reasons -

a) very less number of dishes..basic things like SHARKKARA VARATTI and BANANA CHIPS were absent..

b) Sambar was good in taste, but lacked vegetables

c) only ONE PAYASAM, that too in a very small utensil..

d) they don't promptly serve dishes again whenever needed ..(you have to ask)

e) no banana provided

NB- Why I did this critical review is not to destroy their credentials, but they should improve it..

Best sadhya i ate is from MOTHER'S VEG PLAZA,...
