There're no good Vegetarian Restaurants here in Thodupuzha. That's when this came, "Krishna Restaurant". And even this too proved it to be correct. Not yesterday but the sunday before, I took my parents after our Church mass here. We ordered Masala Dosa. We ordered this 15 mins before 12 noon. They took our order & went. 10 mins later they said there is no masala dosa. Instead as it is time for meals, they suggested us to go for special masala dosa. And so we did. When it came, we felt the "Special Masala" was some dish they prepared which is supposed to be given along with meals as it was lunch time. My father who is very picky with food. He just left it without eating. But the rest us ignored him & we ate though disliking as we'd to pay.
Then, yesterday happened. I've never dined at any restaurant on a sunday. And my experience was never again will I do so. Me & my wife went there with our 9month old. Thinking as we went that we'd get a good masala dosa. They place was crowded. We managed to get ourselves a table. We asked for a baby chair & the answer we got was that they have only one which was already occupied for the 20+ tables. They suggested us to lay our baby on a craddle which made no sense. How can a baby sleep with all that noise from all the customers. We managed anyway.
Then there is the order. We were sitting there. No one was even noticing us. The waiter would pass by us. We called them a few times, they showed a hand action which I think meant they'll come back to us. It took forever for them to finally take our order. That is when I noticied we were not alone. Other customers were getting angry & impatient at them for making them wait for so long. Not even bothering to place glasses or pour water.
Our table was not even cleaned properly after the previous diner.
My father was right to not eat his dosa that time. The dosa we got this time was pathetic.
The waiters don't know local language & it was difficult to communicate. They even had attitude.
My advice to this restaurant, please don't even try making vegetarian foods. You suck.
Mayalis are not meant to cook veg foods. Leave the vegetarian dishes to the tamilians. They make the best food. PERIOD.
CLOSE DOWN YOUR GOD DAMN...
