I've been to Koothattukulam 100s of times but I didn't even know such a place existed and came to know about this place only recently. I saw this place when I was searching for bakeries/eateries of this type in and around Koothattukulam in Google maps. I saw this one has got very good reviews. Also it is situated in an area that I am really familiar. So I found it exciting and decided to go there and went there with a friend today.
First, as a young boy who had been living most of my life in a gulf country, I really appreciate the fact that this is different from the other bakeries/cafe's in the not so well developed Koothattukulam town. It is different in the sense that it is neat, tidy and gives a premium, modern dark chill café vibe in the interior. The seats though they are few in number and can't accommodate more than 15 people at a time are nice and everything is presented and lit up in a sleek way.
The second thing I like is the menu of items that they have there. There is a lot of stuff available there that most people haven't even heard of. The desserts and shakes/drinks are bit expensive but I think it is worth it. We ordered their Special Chiratta Puttu icecream which is something that is a trend now in dessert cafés like this in Kerala. It costs 140Rs but the quantity and presentation of the whole thing is worth the amount. I felt that the icecream, dry fruits and cake pieces were tasty enough but I didn't feel the taste of some of the creams on top of it. But Overall I liked it 👍🏼 Another important positive point to mention about our order is that it came really fast, like I guess within 2mins of placing the order. That is great customer service right there !! 👌🏼
The third thing was that the owner (I guess) standing in the reception was really cool and friendly. [He told me that they are adding many more snack/junk food items to the menu (i e. burgers, french fries,etc.) and he is hopeful that would attract more people to this less known 💎 of it's kind in the town]

I recently ordered a Tiramisu Cheesecake from Belgium Flakes for my sister's surprise birthday celebration, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing! Since I couldn’t leave my sister without raising suspicion, I requested them to deliver the cake to my location—even though they don’t usually offer delivery. Despite their busy schedule, they went out of their way to help me, which was incredibly kind.
I also made some last-minute changes to the cake’s decoration, and they accommodated them perfectly, even adding a lovely ribbon for a special touch. When we unveiled the cake at home, my sister was genuinely surprised and overjoyed!
The Tiramisu Cheesecake itself was absolutely delicious. I’m generally not a fan of coffee-flavored desserts, but this cake was irresistible—I couldn’t stop eating it!

My favourite place to go out with my family with a sweet tooth ... They always deliver the best cakes and pastries which always met the highest quality standards as per my expectations....
As I'm a hotelier by profession which allowed me to travel in and out of the country gives always an opportunity to experience the different and famous desserts.
There was no such confectionery available at koothattukulam or piravom where i could recollect the taste and standard which I was expecting until "Belgium Flakes" started.
We tried almost every pastries, falooda's and ice creams from Belgium Flakes and they always comes first class.
I honestly suggests whole heartedly Belgium Flakes to all my friends and family for best cakes and tastiest pastries...
I will be returning to Belgium Flakes soon with my sweet tooth.. hungry for more... Just like Anton Ego from Ratatouille.... "Surprise Me"
