Kudos to Mr. Sunny and his family. We are visiting India after a decade and first time visiting Kerala. We were craving biryani when I noticed this gem. A homely, friendly place. We ordered the bamboo biryani with chicken and the fresh fish fry, man what an amazing meal. My kids can’t stop talking about it. The best meal we have had in Kerala so far. The hospitality and warmth went 2 extra miles. Mr. Sunny’s son even gave me a ride to the nearest ATM as we were low on cash and didn’t have G-pay access and that felt like family. The meal felt like it was made by my mom. The pickle is home made and the Raita as well. Awesome food folks. Don’t go there thinking it’s a high end expensive place because it’s not, but makes up more than anything for its taste and family vibes. Please support a small business and go meet Mr. Sunny a gem of a person with a golden heart and I promise, you will not be...

Its a small and unassuming restaurant, but dont be deceived by the looks. The food is top notch. We stayed in thekkady for 4 days. And we ate there for 3 out of the 4 days. The food is fresh, quantity is adequate. Its a warm homecooked meal. Sebin and his parents make it a point to make every one of their customers need met. They even made rice kanji for my daughter who was down with a fever the following day, to take to the hotel.

So dont be doubtful by the comparatively fewer reviews. Or by the fact that no one around the area recommends it. Just go for it. You will not regret any of the foods ordered. We ordered appam, dosa, bamboo biryani, paal kappa, thali, kizhi parota...

Amazing stop. Was a little skeptical when we walked in, no one was here. They also didn't have menus. However, we ordered chicken biryanis and their fish curry and fish fry. It was incredible!!! The service is great - the host is amicable and they let you watch them make the food (which is being made right behind you - behind a wall). It's simple, home style food. Honestly, we didn't even click pictures because we were so hungry and the food was SO good. Just, if you want simple, easy, Kerala authentic food, come here! I think they could maybe improve their ambience just a little - but I can see how some people may find it quaint and likeable. All in...

After completing the 8 hours of forest trek, we were exhausted and hungry right in front of Bamboo Grove stay we saw this nice cute little restaurant which has very humble, happy and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed the food to the core; I traveled across south India hopped in many restaurants I never experienced such a tasty, lovely food made with loads of love and care. Sabin Joseph and his mother were too good. I will be definite to revisit Mango Tree café and that will my first stop next time. Fish Nirvana dish was a real enlightening…. Bravo Bravo

A pretty small place run by an enthusiastic family that works in total harmony and ensures their guests go out satisfied. Had lunch Sadiya was tasty, simple and tickled the palate with a mix of delicate taste. Served on a banana leaf with the right amount of spices and brilliant. Thali was great and had fewer items than the Sadiya. The Talapia fish was huge and fried to perfection. Loved the fried mackerel. Please don't judge a book by it's cover, enter Mango cafe and savour the food.
