Well, this place is whoever staying in Kollam they know very well no need for special review...but as I m not Indian for me it was a new thing to explore..I heard lots about this shop and seen the video on YouTube so I decided to give it a try and I m not disappointed at all...infact I m so happy that I had one of the best fish fry till date...it was so fresh, smoky flavour ,crispy, very well coated with the perfect blend of spices...prone fry was also very tasty and not oily at all.The hotel is bit tiny but anyhow whoever eats fish they will accommodate themselves! They exactly know how much you can eat ,when I asked for more rice the server gently said you first eat fish 🐟 otherwise you won't be able to finish!!!🤪🤣🤣 Exactly that happened neither I could finish rice nor fish !🙃🙃The food was so filling I didn't feel hungry for next 5hrs 🤣..Very well behaved server and they gave me a discount because I had no change..that's one unique behaviour I didn't see anywhere else..Its a must must visit place for fish 🐟 lovers and if you are not fish lover then also...
Read moreI visited the restaurant around 3:30 PM, and it was quiet after the afternoon rush. There was plenty of parking nearby. We were seated and then invited to the kitchen to check out the available fish. They had a couple of larger options priced around 2k, but we didn't order them since they seemed too big to finish. By the time we arrived, the smaller fish options had sold out. We went with a meal, prawns fry, and squid roast instead. The meal and prawns fry were outstanding—full of flavor. The food is cooked over wood fires, which adds a unique and delicious flavor. If you’re looking for an authentic local seafood meal in Kollam, this place is definitely...
Read moreVisit here for the sea food and not for the ambiance. I would suggest take out as the place is pretty crammed and people will have a hard time enjoying their meals with all the crowd and bustling activities going on there. Some people rate the place poorly citing cutthroat rate for the fish items. But I find it reasonable and better priced than any other place in Kollam. Get there by 12pm and you can have a selection of the fish head curry from a selection of fishes like yellow fin tuna or a juicy red snapper (highly recommend the red snapper). Fish head prices are based on the size which ranges from 400 to even 1000. Other seafood treats include prawn fry, cuttle fish roast, crab roast and fried fish of your liking. Fish head curry with boiled tapioca is a delicacy. Please make sure you carry money with you since they don't accept digital money like GPay. Price for food are as follows Ordinary rice meals - 70 Fish head curry - 400 to 1000 depending on size Prawns fry - 150 for 6 medium sized prawns Crab roas...
