I visited here in their daily factory tour. Located a bit far from town, one can either take an auto rickshaw here, or hop on a Kumily to Kottayam bus which passes through this way. There is a specific time for the tour, I came for the 1pm slot, best to check with the local rickshaw drivers, they would know. Got a ticket at the front entrance and the tour was guided by a tour leader who seem to know too many languages. First, we were brought to a room and given some presentation about the history of tea and the estate. Was so so. I didn't want to come and listen to a boring presentation. Then we were brought to look at some tea plants and then into the factory which is where the action takes places. Many sections from sorting, cutting, drying, fermenting etc. We were brought through each section. Was quite enlightening. And seeing the different machines at work was very interesting. The smell of tea permeated the entire factory, felt like I could stay there for some time and just enjoy the nice aroma. Towards the end of the tour, we were given some tea tasting. Overall it was a very interesting tour, albeit a little far off from town center....

The guided tour was informative and well-organized, taking us through every step of the tea-making process, from leaf to cup. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, answering all our questions with patience and enthusiasm.
The factory outlet at the entrance offers a wide range of fresh, aromatic teas, I picked up some premium green and black tea that taste far better than anything you find in stores. The tasting session at the end of the tour was a real highlight!
Beautiful surroundings, clean premises, and a very authentic experience overall. Highly recommended if you're in...
