Grand Food Park — Restaurant in Kerala

We stopped by this restaurant for dinner while traveling and were thoroughly disappointed.

Service: The staff took an unreasonably long time to attend to us. When they finally did, the server was impatient and rushed through our order.

Food Quality: We ordered kallapam, which arrived half-cooked. The chilly chicken was particularly shocking – a massive plate of curry with only a few pieces of chicken.

Pricing: The price was outrageous – Rs 620 for a full chilly chicken. Given there were five of us, we suspect we were charged for five plates. They claimed it was the price for a single full plate. I took a photo of the bill since they didn’t provide a printed copy.

Hygiene: The restaurant’s hygiene was subpar, far below what one would expect even from a basic eatery, yet the prices matched those of a 3-star establishment.

We felt taken advantage of, likely because we were travelers and not locals. I strongly recommend trying other nearby restaurants, which are much better. We won’t be...

Regarding the ambiance parking and accessibility good... Having good washroom area outside...may be due to the current situations menu items are not available... Menu card was not present...chicken biriyani meals and some normal items are available... We ordered chicken biriyani but it was not dum... Like chicken curry covered with rice... Food was average.. No tissue paper... No fresh juice.. Only packaged soft drinks.. You might feel by seeing the outside menu something special will be there like mentioned in their huge menu items board... Pls don't look at that point... Highly disappointed... Please ask them before ordering or getting inside....restaurant may seems crowed.. But be in mind.... Things are not always what we seen.... I mentioned this much because I avoided some good restaurant just by seeing those fake...

One of the known food joint at Palai. Location is very ideal, which is just opposite to the old private bus stand (Municipal Bus stand) at Pala. After covid season, this is the one and only near by restaurant at Palai bus stand. The main problem facing here is the lack of Parking area. Hardly one car can park infront of this restaurant. Two wheelers will get their place to park.

About the food, it's nice and tasty. Kerala special Appam, Porata, Chapathi are live always to keep it fresh.The management is trying to maintain its hygeine. Washing area is just average. Regarding the services, it's very fast and neat. Price is also average. I do recommend this restaurant and welcome you to try...
