One can get hot and crispy Muttappams (മുട്ടാപ്പം) and other varieties of breakfast snacks from here. Porottas, appams and curries - this is a breakfast haven with the old school charm.

The place opens early in the morning, and starts serving the quintessential breakfast dishes. De-Bright is open till early night.

This is a typical old-school hotel, and the set up is reminiscent of the same. The place is run by down-to-earth people.

The sight during sunday mornings is vivid - with the elderly reading news over a cup of tea, the middle agers socialising over snacks, youngsters gathering for a sunday escape and then there is the long queue for the Muttappam.

I had to wait for the “third trip” (as the main attender says) for the King of Breakfast.
