Beef lovers, this one’s for you! Thrissur has plenty of great food spots, but if you’re on the hunt for legendary beef dishes, this place is a must-visit. It’s been serving food for ages, but this was my first visit — and honestly, I was blown away!
I started off with their Beef Dry Fry – an absolute must-try! Crispy, flavour-packed, and cooked to perfection. The kind of dish that keeps you going back for more.
Of course, I couldn’t skip the iconic combo – Parotta with Beef Fry. A true Kerala classic that’s loved by almost everyone here. The portion size was generous and totally worth the price.
Another surprising highlight? Their Mixed Fried Rice with Hunan Chicken. A fusion that works so well — flavorful, spicy, and super satisfying.
The service was quick and efficient, and they even offer two types of dine-in setups depending on your vibe.
Totally loved the food, the vibe, and the entire experience. This place definitely deserves a spot on your...
Read moreHotel Goal Face is a well-known establishment in town, especially famous for its kothuporotta, available only after 4 PM. However, our recent dining experience left us rather disappointed. We ordered a variety of dishes including mixed fried rice, egg fried rice, chilli chicken, chicken 65, and porotta. Unfortunately, none of the items lived up to their reputation. The mixed fried rice and egg fried rice were particularly unsatisfactory, lacking flavor and depth. I've never encountered such a bland egg fried rice before. The chilli chicken and chicken 65 were also below average, failing to deliver the expected spiciness and richness.
Despite the restaurant's fame for its kothuporotta, this visit did not meet our expectations. The overall experience was underwhelming, and the quality of the food did not justify the restaurant's reputation. It was a disappointing visit, and I hope they can improve their offerings to match the hype...
Read moreAnother one of those old school, no frills restaurants that doesn't seem like much from the outside, but their food does all the speaking. It's a small, unassuming place thats not hard to miss. Still run the old way, with the cashier striking off token numbers manually, waiters shouting orders, and clientele who have been frequenting this place for decades, it's another era inside goal face. The food here is no different. Simple, rustic, everyday fishes done right. We especially like the Porotta and beef fry, which actually think is one of the best in the city. Another great dish is the Beef egg Porotta. It's shredded Porotta, sauteed with onions masalas, and beef fry. And like we said before, ambience is basic, granite tables, plastic chairs, and nothing else. It's relatively clean. They do have a family section behind, which we did not visit. That is supposedly much better furnished If you like porotta and beef,...
