Hotel Newziland — Restaurant in Kerala

I recently visited Hotel Newziland located in Thookkupalam, on the way to Ramakkalmedu tourism, and overall had a good experience.

One of the standout aspects of the hotel was its food. They offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, but the beef biriyani, beef porotta, and pazhampori were especially popular and delicious. Additionally, the prices were quite budget-friendly, making it accessible to a wide range of customers.

The service was also excellent, with very helpful waiters and even the owner coming out to interact with the customers and ensure their satisfaction. They also offer family rooms, which is a great option for those traveling with children or larger groups. The toilets were clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus.

However, the hotel does have some downsides. The parking situation was quite difficult, as there is no dedicated parking lot and the hotel is located on a narrow town road. This made finding a spot to park quite challenging, and may be a deal-breaker for some customers. Additionally, while the ambience was fine, it was nothing special or noteworthy.

Overall, I would recommend Hotel Newziland for its delicious food, friendly service, and budget-friendly prices. However, if parking is a major concern, it may be worth considering...

We went for a trip to Ramakalmedu and on the way back we were starving for a lunch & google suggested this place. The food was ok. Nothing to complain about. They serve very rich and charge very nominal. I had the meals which was more than enough for me. My friend ordered a biriyani, a single biriyani, and plantain fries(pazhampori). All where good. And a point to be noted: They don't serve here "Rateesh", they sell the real plantain fries(pazhampories), they make them with whole plantain, with which usually other shops would sell at least 3. Only cons would be the staffs has a memory problem, forgets who...

Only hotel where you can have good food in Ramakkalmedu. We were a bit hesitant about the quality of food but taste was exceptional. The service was awesome. Very friendly staff and such a courteous owner caring all the customers enter inside. The parking is cramped and need to find a place in main Street to park car. Even picking up in front of hotel is very difficult during peak hours. Closing time is 8.30 PM Would suggest beef items, fish curry and Briyani. First time we went by 10. 30 AM and only parotta available to eat, better to order on time to have...
