Riya’s Hotel in Palakkad is a go-to destination for seafood lovers, often recommended by friends from Coimbatore. It has a typical mess-style setup, focusing solely on seafood lunches, making it a haven for those who enjoy fresh and authentic flavors.

The menu may be limited, but the offerings are exceptional, featuring a variety of fish, crab, prawns (both river and sea), and squid. The quantity and quality of the food are top-notch, justifying the slightly higher pricing. The Prawn Fry, Squid Fry, Crab, and Vanjaram Fish Fry are must-tries, with the fish fry standing out for its massive size and amazing taste.

With operating hours from 12:30 PM to around 4-5 PM, it’s a place you shouldn’t miss. Riya’s Hotel is undoubtedly a must-visit spot for seafood enthusiasts, offering flavorful dishes that leave a...

Food is very good . Mainly fish varieties as this hotel is having a mark for fish dishes. Mr. Riyas who does the service is also the owner of this hotel. He does asks whether we need a very hot ( too much of Chilli 🌶) or medium hot varieties in fried items and curries. This is the first time we were there so we ordered full fish for each one of us. But we couldn't eat them fully and we parcled half of them to our house. The fishes were so big so we couldn't eat them fully. So our advice to new customer's us that if you are going as a group please order the individual varieties and share between yourselves. It's very difficult to park 4 wheelers as you have to park it in the narrow main road itself. Otherwise it's fine with the hotel. Please have a taste from here. Thanks Riyas for...

Its one of the overhyped and overpriced seafood restaurant of kerala…..owner seems to loot a lot of people by overpricing all seafood items that too in a normal hotel….i have been to many seafood restaurants in kerala and also to star rated chain hotels which serve same items at a rate which is less than hotel riyas….pathetic ambience for the price they charge…for eg: 250g of prawns roast cost minimum rs. 500/- …also meals they offer at rs.90/- contains only rice, one pickle, one bitter guard curry, pappadam thats all….its high time to reduce the overpricey food and unpromote such looters…also he is not providing any GST bills for the items we ordered, everything is calculated in a notebook and thus he is saving a lot without...

This place is famous for it's fish varities both fry and masala. You get pomfret(black and white), Pearl spot, seer fish, mussel, crab, squid etc. This place is a house converted to small restaurant. Staff is inadequate with just 2 people to take orders as well as serve. Which clearly explains the delay to serve rice after the leaf was laid for more than 10mins. Fried food: we felt Everything tasted the same. Everything was deep fried, and hence taste was not preserved. Quantity was not worth the price Meals: rice, sambhar, fish gravy, pickle and 2 veg dishes, rasam. Price: 70 rs for the meals And most of the fish dishes were 280-350. Verdict Food is tasty (though not healthy) but not worth the price.

The food was average. Not hygiene. I am facing allergy in sea food item so we had local fish item only. But unfortunately after one hour feel some symptoms of allergy. Sea food allergy is not a simple thing. It may cause for death also. I was suffuring nuesea, head ache and small chest pain. I went to hospital soon. The doctor told it is because of some allergies and I took medicine and observed for 2-3 hrs. Now am ok. Normally there will not be any allergies in local fish. We think they may be using same oil for all kind of fishes. I request to the owner that kindly use different olis for different fish items. The charge for food is expensive..
