The ambiance at Hotel Woodlands is a harmonious blend of traditional Kerala decor with a modern twist. The warm lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful art pieces create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. As I settled into my table, I could already sense that this was going to be a memorable meal.
The menu at Hotel Woodlands offered an extensive selection of Kerala cuisine, and I couldn't resist trying some of the local specialties. I started with the traditional Kerala Sadya, a vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf. The flavors were simply exquisite, with each dish showcasing the richness of Kerala's culinary heritage. The fragrant sambar, crisp appam, and various chutneys were a delightful combination of tastes and textures.
For the main course, I savored a seafood platter that featured fresh catch from the nearby coast. The prawns and fish were expertly prepared with an array of spices that tantalized my taste buds. The biryani was another highlight, with perfectly cooked rice and tender pieces of chicken, subtly infused with aromatic spices.
What truly set Hotel Woodlands apart was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive and well-informed, offering recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of the meal met my expectations. Their friendly demeanor added to the overall dining experience.
To complete the experience, I indulged in a dessert of Palada Payasam, a creamy rice pudding that was the perfect sweet ending to an outstanding meal.

Read moreI recently dined at Hotel Woodlands near Thodupuzha-Muvattupuzha Road. My experience was good. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant. We were a group of 12 adults and 5 kids. Tried several kind of food from Masala Dosa, Ghee Roast, Chappathi, Battoora, Vada, Tea, Coffee and Horlicks. The chapathi was too thin, small and didn't felt like freshly made but the Kurma served with it tasted really good. Ghee Roast and Masala Dosa was little bit more oily than expected and was a bit sour. Vada, Tea, Coffee and Horlicks were OK.
The service was good. The staff were courteous and served the food really quick. The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and comfortable. It is just aside the Thodupuzha-Muvattupuzha Road and is easily noticeable.
In terms of cleanliness, the restaurant was well-maintained, which was a positive aspect. Air-conditioned as well as non air-conditioned dining areas are available. You will get plenty of parking infront of and at the side of the restaurant. They do accept Cash, CC/Debit cards and GPay.
In summary, Hotel Woodlands is an okay spot if you’re in the area and looking for a decent meal, but there are definitely areas for...
