Indian Coffee House — Restaurant in Kerala

Its just ok one among the Indian coffee house restaurants. Not up to the level of experience from an Indian coffee house. Very basic not maintained or keeping good like other outlets. We realise its an Indian coffee house only when we saw the staffs uniform. But otherwise its keep good on there foods staffs behaviour etc are good or same as other outlets. There are many good things too like big restaurant which can accommodate a larger crowd and enough parking space good air and sunlight enough space between tables but there is some problem also like untidy wash area not enough toilets and its way dirty too. Staffs are behaving good but they are too busy when nearly full, they don't wait for completion of the order we have to wait more for any further orders. And the prices are most likely same as other Indian...

We found this restaurant while we travelling from Alapuzha beach to mararikulam beach . We were too hungry. Everyone has a believe upon the Indian coffee house , yes that believe they have gained through their good service and good quality of food all around Kerala . But we have entered and asked for meals , he said no meals , then we asked for chicken fried rice , fried rice also not available , only chicken biryani and veg biryani he said . Me and my family sacrifices and ordered for chicken biryani. After waiting for 5 minutes biriyani is ready to serve at the table. Low quality biriyani , biriyani was not hot , no taste , low quantity and the pricing is 180 , by this incident we lost our belief on the Indian coffee house. Visited Indian Coffee House, Kalavoor (Alappuzha) on 19th October 2025 around 8:05 AM with a group of eight members for breakfast. We ordered poori, baji, tea, and a few other items, but even after waiting for more than 45 minutes, the food was never served.

When we asked the staff, the person who took our order had completely forgotten about it and instead started arguing unnecessarily. Finally, we had to leave the restaurant without having any food.

It was a very disappointing experience, and such service really affects the goodwill and reputation of Indian Coffee House. Hope the management looks into this seriously and improves the staff behavior and...
