Indian coffee house is a feeling that cam never be replaced by any of the new gen coffee shops that sprout up daily like weed. Walk in to any Indian coffee house and rest assured, you will get the familiar greeting by a waiter in either a long hat or a short one reminding you of the pre independence erra. This particular shop is no different and you get the same quality and cleanliness that you expect from an Indian coffee house chain. However, I feel that they are not staying very true to some of their dishes. There's a popular saying, that the only item in the menu that doesn't have beetroot in it is the coffee. Ain't the case here, the chicken cutlet is just a ball, doesn't have either beetroot or chicken. At the same time, the ever so famous Masala dosa and beef omelet is a delight to eat. Point being, its a must to stop by if you want to relish in nostalgia and not go...

I often come here for food. Mostly for evening snacks or for dinner. And it’s quite a tricky thing for me to review this Coffee House since personally, I’ve always enjoyed the food here. But I’ve heard rumours surrounding this place that once it was closed due to allegations of food poisoning. Also, my father once got food poisoning after having food from here. And at that day, our entire family, except me had food from there. But only my father got food poisoning. He still claims it was the omelette he had from there. Maybe it was, or maybe it was not.

To me, I love the food here. It’s one of my personal favourites. I always choose masala dosa, with one Vada, an omelette and two cutlets. And if not masala dosa, I’ll choose poori...

I have enjoyed the Breakfast at Indian Coffee House in SH Mount, Kottayam. However, it's disappointing to hear about the slow service and lack of proper customer service. Efficient and friendly service is crucial for a pleasant dining experience. It's good to know that they have parking and toilet facilities available, but improving their customer service could definitely enhance the overall experience for diners.

I'm sorry to say about my disappointing experience with the biryani in Kottayam. It's frustrating when a dish doesn't meet expectations, especially when it lacks flavor and proper preparation. Poor service from the waitstaff only adds to the...

Ordered Puri Bhaji, Masala Dosa, tea and coffee and veg cutlet. Masala dosa :2/5. It was a different kind of masala dosa, masala inside was not aloo masala but it was beatroot masala, Samabar and chatni was ok ok. Dosa was also different kind of dosa not a typical madras crispy dosa. Didn't liked it. Puri Bhaji. 2/5 puri was crispy but bhaji was same masala used for dosa. It was beatroot same masala given as bhaji. Veg cutlet:2/5 again stuffed inside was beatroot, don't know this restaurant likes more of healthy thing. Tea :3/5 Tea was ok ok. Coffee: 3/5 Again ok ok. Over all taste was below average.
