Irani Family Restaurant, Vithura — Restaurant in Kerala

I had the worst experience at the Irani restaurant in Vithura, which used to be one of my favorite places. Compared to other branches I've visited, this one is by far the worst. When we walked in, the restaurant was unusually quiet, which immediately stood out. The server, when he came to take our order, was impatient and seemed uninterested. We ordered shawarma, alfaham, lime juice, and lime soda. The shawarma was terrible, with an overwhelming amount of carrots, while the alfaham was just okay. The lime drinks were also disappointing—there was barely any lemon in the lime juice. When we asked for a replacement, the new drink was overly sour, almost as if they were trying to get back at us.

When it was time to pay, we informed the manager about the poor service and the problematic lime drink. Instead of addressing our concerns, the staff mocked us, which made the situation even worse. Throughout our visit, the staff was mostly lounging in the front lounge, and every time we needed service, we had to go out and call someone. It felt like the restaurant was being run by a group of thugs. Irani Group should seriously consider taking action against the Vithura branch, as the current state of service and quality could damage...

We went there to have some lunch, but ended up having some kothuporotta. We ordered 3 sets of kothuporotta for 3 people without realising the quantity each one will provide. Yes, the quantity was too much we had one set kothuporotta parceled back. And about the food, it was super spicy and chilli was put in abundance as if they were getting green chilly for free. The main reason we were not able to finish the food was the extreme spiciness and random biting of chillies, which inturn forced us to buy a bottle of pepsi. But the restaurant overall was great. A nice normal family friendly restaurant. The food is really really good and they serve adequate quantity of food for its price. Eating here is value for money. But the service is not so good. We had to wait a lot for a waiter to collect our order also we ordered 2 drinks only one of them arrived in time , we had to wait a lot and request again to get the other drink, we had almost finished our food when finally the drink arrived. And we had to pack the remaining food , so for that also we had to call the waiters 3 or more times until one came.
