IRANI Restaurant & Events Peroorkada — Restaurant in Kerala

My wife is originally from Trivandrum, and we've always found it quite difficult to come across a truly good restaurant here. In most places, the meat tends to be overcooked or the onions aren't properly sautéed. However, we recently visited Irani Hotel and had a pleasant experience. The ground floor is dedicated to takeaways, while the cellar is an air-conditioned dine-in area that was clean and comfortable.

They offer a wide variety of dishes, which was a great start. The soups were particularly impressive — we tried the Sweet Corn Chicken and Chicken Manchow, both of which were excellent. The Chicken Kolhapuri with parotta was outstanding. The Chicken Biryani and Chicken Erachi, however, were just average.

For dessert and drinks, we tried the fruit salad and karikku (tender coconut) shake — both were quite good and refreshing.

One thing to note: prices seem to have gone up slightly compared to what’s shown in the menu...

"Appallingly Poor Service and Total Disregard for Customer Care

I recently ordered takeaway from this place, and it was an incredibly frustrating experience. Not only was an item missing from my order, but when I reached out to the restaurant to resolve it, they couldn't be bothered to take any action. What truly shocked me was the management's rude, dismissive attitude—rather than addressing the issue, they left me feeling embarrassed and completely unvalued as a customer.

For a restaurant that supposedly prides itself, they clearly have no respect for their customers. Basic accountability and courtesy seem to be beyond their capacity, and it's beyond disappointing. If they can't even manage a simple apology or fix their own mistakes, there is no point in running a pathetic...

The hotel has a really good ambience and is well maintained. The food is excellent and absolutely worth it for the price. They have both an underground and a first-floor setup – the first floor is mainly for juices, shakes, and also has a comfortable waiting space for parcels, while the ground floor is for proper dining (accessible via stairs). I also liked that they allow prior reservations for groups, which makes it convenient when coming with family or friends. Overall, a great place with tasty food and a pleasant...
