🍽️ Review: JINKALAKA MULTICUISINE AC RESTAURANT
Walking into Jinkalaka Multicuisine AC Restaurant, the ambiance gives a promising first impression — neat interiors and a welcoming vibe. However, as the experience unfolded, it left a mix of highs and lows on the palate.
We kicked off the meal with a Chicken Honey appetizer, which had potential. The sweetness of the honey glaze was enjoyable, but unfortunately, it was overpowered by a heavy hand of soy sauce, disrupting the balance of flavors.
For mains, we went with a trio of biriyanis — two chicken and one beef. While the portion size was fair, the taste didn't quite hit the mark. The biriyanis were underwhelming, lacking the richness and depth typically expected in a dish that carries such culinary weight.
The Porotta and Beef was next. The porottas were nicely done — flaky and soft — but the beef that accompanied them was a letdown. It felt bland and under-seasoned, leaving little to savor.
When it comes to service, the staff were polite, but the overall attentiveness and speed were just average, not matching up to the restaurant’s more refined appearance.
💸 Price-wise, the meal leaned on the expensive side, especially when the food quality and overall satisfaction didn’t quite...
Read moreThis restaurant attached to the Thenmala ecoresort is open to the public, resonably priced on the top floor as well as caters separately to the Resort inhouse dining area for resort guests for a higher price. The food is excellent. The service by the multitasking staff in the restaurant is good, sincere and remarkable. However the service in the Resort inhouse dining area is below average as they are probably short on staff, have language inadequacies and require hospitality training. The Resort inhouse dining opens very late for breakfast which could impact early morning tour plans. Very complacent management on service gaps but very persuasive on marketing the resort dining area and tour packages!! The unmaintained vehicles that take guests to the cottages on the uncomfortable cobbled winding roads are very rustic and dirty. Drivers are extremely patient and sincerely very helpful. Team could be more motivated with...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant after reading multiple reviews, and it was not disappointing. The place is more like a restaurant attached to their adventure park and resort, so it’s not just a standalone eatery.
We tried the hot & sour soup (okay, but not outstanding), chicken fried rice (felt more like chicken rice than fried rice, but fine), ghee rice (tasted closer to fried rice though still decent), chicken roast (good, but a bit oily), and a couple of choco bars. Overall, the food was decent and satisfying.
The restaurant is clean, staff are cooperative, and the ambience is good. Pricing is quite reasonable compared to many Chennai/Tamil Nadu restaurants, making it worth a visit. It’s a decent spot for a quick meal — nothing extraordinary, but definitely not a mistake to stop by.
One thing to add. They have a...
