This gem of a place is incredibly convenient for anyone travelling through MC Road, making it an ideal stop for a delightful meal. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the well-maintained and inviting ambience. The restaurant exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing dining experience. The cleanliness and upkeep are impeccable, and the well-maintained toilet facilities further add to the comfort of the guests. The highlight of my visit, undoubtedly, was the quality of the food. I recently visited Kamal Pure Vegetarian with high expectations, but honestly, the experience was disappointing. The first issue is the menu. Many of the items printed on the menu are simply not available. When you sit down and start looking, the staff will politely say “not available” to most of the normal dishes. Finally, only the most expensive items are offered as if that is the only choice for customers.

Food quality is decent, but the pricing is not at all justified. For simple vegetarian dishes, the cost is almost double compared to other restaurants in the area. For example, a normal thali or curry that you would expect at a fair price is either missing or replaced with a high-priced option. It feels like the restaurant is more interested in pushing customers toward overpriced dishes than providing a wide and honest vegetarian menu.

Had an extremely disappointing experience at Kamal Restaurant, primarily due to the unaccommodating attitude of the staff, especially the manager Santhosh. Our group, which included children, women, and family members, requested a simple table arrangement so we could sit together comfortably. Unfortunately, our requests were completely ignored, with Santhosh showing zero interest in assisting us.

The service was outright cold and indifferent, reflecting a general lack of hospitality across the staff. With no option but to sit outside, we had to endure mosquito swarms, ultimately forcing us to leave with hungry and uncomfortable children.

For anyone considering dining here—think twice. If customer service and basic courtesy matter to you, this is not the place. I’ve also shared a photo of Santhosh, whose nonchalant, unapproachable, and hostile demeanor made the experience even worse. Avoid any interaction with him.

To the management, I suggest you take a hard look at your declining reviews. A well-designed restaurant means nothing without good service and properly trained managers. Staff like Santhosh need serious training in handling customers with warmth and professionalism.
