Disappointing Experience at KFC Irinjalakuda
I am extremely disappointed with the service my family and I received at the KFC Irinjalakuda branch. We placed our order via the KFC app, fully aware of their "7-minute extra chicken" policy. However, after waiting longer than the allotted time, we asked about the extra piece of chicken and were met with ridicule by the staff, who claimed they couldn't honor the request because we ordered through the app and that they would only consider the bill-out time.
After waiting an additional ten minutes past the bill-out time, we approached the staff again, only to be met with hostility. Several employees, including Anas, Noufal, and Ginu, began shouting at us, insisting that it had only been five minutes. Their unprofessional behavior was not only directed at us but particularly towards my sister, which was alarming and unacceptable.
When we asked for assistance from the manager, Mr. Hareesh, the situation only worsened. Instead of de-escalating the situation, he challenged us, raised his voice, and refused to even consider reviewing the CCTV footage to verify the timeline. This interaction left us feeling humiliated and disrespected.
This incident wasn't about a simple piece of chicken but about the lack of respect and professionalism from the staff. KFC is a global brand, and we expect not only quality food but also quality service. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly tarnished our view of this branch.

This is not the first time I’m buying, and every time I’ve had the same disappointing experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. The size of the chicken pieces is very small, and it’s absolutely not worth what they’re charging.
If you’re going to charge premium prices, you should offer better quality and quantity. Please don’t exploit your customers—it’s their hard-earned money.
I used to live abroad, and I know what a proper bucket chicken looks like—it easily feeds more than five people. Here, it’s not even enough for two. They claim it’s 8 pieces, but it honestly seems like 4 pieces chopped in half just to stretch the count.
Just follow KFC’s international standards, it’s not a tool for you to exploit the customer’s and make money using a big brand’s Franchise name.

He was handling the food at the pickup station without gloves but his staffs were following the standards with due diligence. The outlet was not following Covid protocol of social distancing that has been mandated by KFC themselves and the Government. I did rise my concern to the manager directly prior to posting this review. And furthermore, I ordered for a 8 strip bucket (#8), a 4 piece chicken (#9) and an al carte order of 1 piece chicken but what I received was only 4 piece chicken and 6 strips.
