KR Bakes And Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

I visited this branch of KR Bakes to get a few snacks, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. To begin with, the staff behind the counter did not attend to us for a long time even though the counter was not crowded. While waiting, we noticed at least three small cockroaches crawling inside the display case among the food trays.

When I brought this to the counter staff's attention, he simply turned off the light in the case and removed two of the trays—without any explanation or assurance. The rest of the food remained inside the case, and there was no clear indication that anything was done to address the presence of the cockroaches.

What frustrated me even more was the indifferent attitude of the staff. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the seriousness of the issue, and no proper response to a legitimate hygiene concern raised by a customer.

I had initially planned to purchase some sweets as well, but after seeing the state of hygiene, I opted to leave with only a few pre-packed items. Given the prices they charge, the lack of cleanliness and basic customer service is unacceptable. In addition to ensuring proper hygiene, they should also keep properly trained staff who knows how to deal with customers! It's safe to say that I'll not be visiting this branch again.

Worst customer service & food... Had a bitter experience @ KR Bakes, Epzha on 12-Apr. Asked for 5Nos. of Shawarma..The person who attended me in the counter check internally whether 5Nos. can be delivered. I paid for the bill he made and asked me to wait. Fortunately, I thought of going to the Shawarma counter and getting it collected right from there. I could find that with the available chicken pieces and veggies added, they can hardly make 3 Nos. He went inside and got more than enough veggies to add to it to make extra 4 Nos. Even after giving me 5, 2 more can be made with the stuff left over.

We don't expect this kind of attitude from KR. To the concerned - "Give quality food for the higher price being charged. Remember that better quality food is available at a lesser price from nearby places. You can exploit the customer for the first time. But not...

2025 oct 3* Not many can keep up the good standard when they startup. Exactly same here. Had fried rice and gobi manchurian.. below average..

The new entrant in bakery space in vypeen. But this time with twist with grill and shakes. Shawarma is decent. Al fahm looks good has some 3 to 4 varieties. This joint is clean and spacious. Hopefully this could be the kr bake 2.0 a name which lost its sheen over the years. Something i noticed was the billing not being sorted out systematically which causes unnecessary crowding at the bill counter. Also dine in and bakery buyers orders are handled together which also leads to confusion. This is still early days and i hope they sort these out. A good start definitely. The shawarma i would rate decent. You can also buy curries like beef fry rabbit roast chicken...
