Lubaca Cafe has an inviting location right by a busy main highway, with a charming Mediterranean bistro ambiance for both alfresco and indoor dining. The menu features appealing items like Seafood Bisque, Eggs Benedict, Nicoise Salad, Spaghetti Carbonara, and Bubble Teas, making it look attractive at first glance.

However, the dining experience fell short of expectations. While the prices suggest quality, serving a Tuna sandwich on regular loaf bread felt disappointing, and the staff often seemed confused about menu items and modifications. A simple request for an egg addition to a salad was met with skepticism, and it made sense when I received the eggs after I was almost through with the salad.

While the plating was professional, the food quality and service did not match. After four visits, I consistently experienced stomach issues in the evening. Ultimately, it appears to be another "Instagrammable cafe" for Gen Z, focusing more on looks than food quality.

Hello, "As I have no option to reply to your owner's response, I had to edit the review and reply."

Thank you for your prompt response to my review. I appreciate the clarification regarding the tuna sandwich. However, as mentioned in my review, I believe it would be worthwhile to review the quality of the bread, as it tasted more like regular supermarket slices rather than something made in-house.

Additionally, I want to clarify that each time I visited, I experienced some stomach sensitivity in the evening afterward. I was hoping that giving another chance would yield a better experience, which is why I waited until the fourth visit to bring it to your attention through my review. I hope my concerns are understood as genuine, rather than perceived as faked, as that was not my intention.

Thank you for your commitment to customer feedback. I hope to see improvements on...

I ordered their Swiss Burger and Forget Me Not from Swiggy, and I have mixed feelings.

The packaging is great and spill-proof. Everything I ordered was in place, except for my straw which was a little damaged on its way here, which is nobody’s fault and just an observation. But I loved their logo on the box! Very nice touch!

I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the food. I was promised cheddar and yellow cheese, but my burger did not have them. I instead had a burger sauce on mine. I thought they also didn’t add mushrooms, but I realised it was finely chopped and added to the beef mix when I was almost done. The taste and texture of the mushrooms were overpowered by the beef. Some may also find the burger to be a bit on the tinier side. The accompanying fries were nice, crispy and salty. I personally did expect more fries, but I can let that slide.

For the drink, I think they need to invest in wider straws/smaller boba. A few of them were reluctant to travel up the straw and I had to use a spoon to scoop them up. But they were all nice and perfectly chewy! Personally, I did not like the drink and thought it was one-note since I was expecting it to be a tea with brown sugar and boba, but it only tasted like caramelised brown sugar in milk. Swiggy does not mention it containing tea, so I only blame myself for this.

Overall, I think for the price they charge, they need to be clear about the description they give on Swiggy/Zomato and focus on the quality of the food...

Title: A Slice of Heaven in Every Bite! (Lulu’s baking)

We recently visited Lubaca 👌🏻and I must say, it was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with the warm, comforting aroma of freshly baked bread and pastries. The ambiance of the bakery is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a treat or two.

The selection of baked goods is incredible, with something to satisfy every craving. I tried their croissants, which were perfectly flaky and buttery, just as they should be. The cup cakes were divine, with a rich, creamy filling that wasn’t overly sweet, and the sourdough bread had a wonderful tangy flavor with a crisp crust and soft interior.

What really stood out to me was the attention to detail in everything they make. You can tell that each item is crafted with love and care. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and ensuring that I had a wonderful experience.

Overall, is a gem of a bakery, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack or something special for an occasion, this is the place to go. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delicious...

As a freelancer, I often find myself working at various cafes, but LUBACA in Cherthala has truly captured my heart as my go-to spot when I’m at hometown. The menu offers an impressively diverse selection, catering to a wide range of tastes with delicious cuisines that match up to the highest standards I've encountered. Whether it's the coffee or the unique dishes, everything is prepared to perfection. What sets LUBACA apart is the calm and professional atmosphere it provides, making it an ideal place for both working quietly and attending in-person meetings. The environment is extremely conducive to productivity, yet it retains a very friendly vibe, perfect for professionals. The staff here deserves a special mention—Athul and Sreejith, in particular, have been exceptionally supportive. They go above and beyond to assist with any needs, ensuring timely service and a delightful dining experience every time. I would confidently rate LUBACA as the number one cafe in Cherthala. It's a gem that means locals don't need to travel to Kochi for a top-notch cafe experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality cuisine in a welcoming setting!
