Went in for dinner on a Monday night. Right beside the NH and and with a well lit signboard, it is easy to spot.

Parking would not be an issue either along the restaurant or beside the side road shared by the property.

Naadan mutton soup to start the appetite growling helped. Then we had prawns butter garlic, chicken biriyani, appam and chicken kuruma kanthari.

All were well prepared. However a note that I’d like to add is to basically notify either via the menu or while taking the order on what a dish entails- for example I didn’t expect the prawns butter garlic to come with scrambled eggs! Another speciality dish mentioned on the board, when enquired comes with beef, chicken and fish or some such not so common combination. A brief description in the menu or a note by the waiter on the orders would go a long way.

We were seated in the non-AC zone for the want of a relatively warm space. But the fans were squeaky and thus we had to turn them off.

Because of the place we were seated, maybe, we didn’t have easy access to call a waiter. This maybe helped with a call button or so.

Back to the food- it was all tasty. The portion sizes were good and we even had to help ourselves to parcel some of the curry back home. To finish the dinner off, we had nice hefty falooda and fruit salads. The “pure” juices when given were already bitter indicating that the seeds were crushed along and maybe it did sit a while before it was served. They could’ve used a pressed and avoided this, since a premium is being charged.

Overall, great experience. Would definitely do back to have a relaxed outing with friends and family munching on...

We had a very disappointing experience today with the level of professionalism and customer service at this restaurant. We ordered two fried rice, two biryanis, and dragon chicken. When the food arrived, there were no sauces provided for the fried rice and no spoons for the salads. Upon requesting these, instead of providing the correct items, we were simply given an extra pickle, which clearly showed a lack of understanding and attention to basic customer needs.

What was even more frustrating was that later they served an entirely different dish instead of the dragon chicken we ordered, and it came with bones. As some of us have been living abroad for several years, we are not very familiar with how these dishes are normally presented, and we trusted the restaurant to get the order right. After starting to eat, we realized the chicken was not boneless as expected. When we raised the issue with the staff member responsible for taking the order, his response was completely unprofessional — a blank expression, no apology, and simply the words, "This is not dragon chicken." There was no effort made to rectify the mistake or acknowledge the inconvenience caused.

The overall customer service was extremely poor, reflecting a serious lack of training and care. The food itself was nothing special, and prices were clearly inflated given the quality and service provided.

We understand that operating in the current situation can be challenging, but that does not justify such unprofessional behavior. As paying customers, we deserve basic courtesy, accountability, and proper service.

We would strongly advise others not to...

Stopped here on my highway journey, and honestly, I regretted it. This place is far from what it looks like on the outside. The restaurant may appear polished, but the service and hygiene left me disappointed. The staff don’t even make eye contact. Before they even reach your table, they just blurt out “Puttu, Idiyappam, Porota…” like it’s some roadside shack. For a place that looks well-done, the people clearly need training. Washrooms? Horrible. And shockingly, the kitchen is right next to them, I happened to glance in, and the conditions looked pathetic. Definitely not what you’d expect when stopping for a decent meal. If you’re traveling this route, I would recommend skipping this one. Instead, Rice Bowl (Palakkad) or Travelounge (Palakkad) are far better options. Also worth noting, outsiders are treated like nobodies, while preference is given to regulars. A fellow solo traveler who came in after me was told Porota would “take too long” and that he should settle for idiyappam. When he asked for tea, they literally directed him to an outside stall. That’s not hospitality, it’s literally pushing people away. For me, this was the last visit. If you’re planning a pit stop here, especially on weekends or holidays, just avoid

On the way to Palakkad, you can find this restaurant. It is around 15-20 minutes drive from Panniyenkara Toll gate. The interior of the restaurant is a subtle tribute to a relaxed and timeless aesthetic, creating a welcoming atmosphere where understated elegance meets ease. The essence of dining is to enjoy good food serve well. Fresh ingredients are the cornerstone, and each meal is made to highlight their natural flavors and textures. Ordered Biryani, which was good. The price is fair, and the quantity is adequate. The service is welcoming, effective, and without any pretence. There are ample parking facilities available with EV charging. Washrooms that are clean and hygienic. In essence, it is more than just a restaurant; it is a celebration of uncomplicated, quality dining.
