Mehfil Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

First Sight: Poor customer service and low quality food.. Especially the fish items... I doubt they serve wild stored/frozen food. I do not find a professional response from the staff. They are more focused on selling food to customer’s rather looking at their requirements. We as a group ordered a “Avoli Fish Perattu” with masala and we all are dam sure the fish is not Avoli and doesn’t sounded at least like a quality fish. The chicken dish we had also smelled different and when we asked the response was “It is special preparation and that’s the reason it smells different”. May be right, but I am not at all convinced with the answer. Good things I found: They are located in the shore of National Highway right before Attingal town ( coming from Kollam). Has enough car parking space. The hut model actually gives some more privacy to families and couples. On top of huts they have got regular hall based restaurant and a premium AC restaurant too. The availability of multiple cuisines and wide variety of non-vegetarian dishes (chicken/beef/mutton/fish). The meals they serves are pretty much ok and meets basic expectation. Value for Money? It depends on the dish you order and typically they are on the higher side (non veg chicken items starts from Rs. 180, Fish items...

Another disappointing experience in Attingal. I have earlier gone to a few restaurants near the Attingal Bus stand. The experience was not that good with those restaurants. I expected better food from Mehfil but was again disappointed. There were not many options during lunch time. I ordered chicken biriyani from here. The taste did not seem like that of biriyani. The rice tasted like normal rice with light flavors. The rice was long. Chicken pieces were of decent size and taste was average. The ambience was decent only although looking from outside I expected more considering the efforts to look distinct from outside was significant with separate Hut kind of family rooms. Will not recommend this hotel to those who are looking for wow food or for variety. This is for lunch menu.I am not sure...

I had ordered schezwan chicken and garlic chicken, both had a very bad taste, the chicken tasted like it was dipped in vinegar and it was very hard, I told the waiter and they didn't do anything much than just tell me how they cook the chicken and how others in swiggy don't have a problem with their food. I had also ordered chicken fried rice and chicken noodles and I bit a piece of MSG (ajinomoto) in my noodles which very bad. All together their price (₹800 for my order) is just like any other restaurant, which is way above the standard of food served here. This was my worst experience in Chinese cuisine ever.
