Today (April 11, 2024) I visited this restaurant with my family including my 1 year old baby. Ambience looks decent and I expected that decency in food and service, but my experience was just opposite of my expectation.
We settled down at 7 PM and after 20 minutes waiter came to take our order. We ordered 1 chicken Biriyani, 1 mutton Biriyani, 1 kadai chicken and Chapathy, 1 chicken fried rice and 1 watermelon juice without sugar.
We waited for 1 hour and till that time only water came to our table. Since we are having 1 year old baby and she was like disturbed due to hunger. There is AC on walls but literally it is not working. In this summer season, how can some one have some food with family that too with a kid without proper air conditioning.
We followed up with waiter for food and the time was 8 20 PM. After 5 minutes they served plates.
Again we followed up and by 8 30 PM food reached our table.
Note the point after 1 and half hour waiting time for food. Thatâs something no one can accept with their kids and family.
Ok, we ignored as this might be happened due to rush which we can understand.
The most unprofessional experience was I ordered Mutton Biriyani and that was not served.
I called up the waiter guy and asked why its missing and he told that mutton biriyani got finished and you can order any other biriyani.
What the hell they think of their customers. Customer should eat as per their wish or as per restaurant staffâs wish. At least they could have inform me prior to my 1 and half waiting time. Very unprofessional attitude and service.
Next they served watermelon juice and I ordered without sugar and they served me a sugar syrup. Hell!
So just sharing my experience here as this is my first and last visit to this restaurant.

Read moreI haven't seen such an irresponsible service from anywhere else. If this restaurant has a good and proper service, I would have given a better rating. We visited Middle East Restaurant yesterday(17Sep) around 8 PM.. We had to wait for 1 hr to get a table.. Informed the count of people to the staff, a tall guy who roams around with a walkie talkie..He runs all over there as if he is trying to find a place for us. Dear management, spend some money and print some menu cards atleast thid guy can reduce his running time..
Coming to our experience.. Around that 1 hr time 2 other families came in and they had secured the seats without asking anyone. Cool! Still this guy is waiting for someone who just started his food to leave the table. đ Around 9 we got the table.. He came to us for taking the order even after another 15 min.. We got kids with us who became cranky after this long wait.. Ordered different items.. BDF was our starter.. The fact is that we got BDF after the dessertđĄ. The food was served cold.. Mandhi was not even warm..There was a butter nan.. It was served as if 2 people couldn't tear it as it was made long back. He came to us at the last.. And reduced the amount of butter nan from the bill and the reason for those cold items is that Mandhi was prepared not at the moment..
Our question and suggestions to the management :
Are you serving the mandhi that was made in the noon for serving the people who visit at night? If we have to wait for a long while to get the food.. then atleast make sure that food is freshly prepared and served hot. If you cannot serve it fresh, then there is no point in waiting the customers for 2 hours to eat the old food.
This restaurant is located in a prime spot.. Atleast, make sure to employ more active staff for managing the customers.
Please provide better service and good food for the amount we pay.
The cleaning boys service is worth mentioning. They are quick and prompt in their jobs.Kudos to them đđź
We left the restaurant at 10:30 PM with a strong decision of not visiting this place...
Read moreI had the misfortune of dining at the Middle East Restaurant, and it was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience Iâve ever encountered. Let me start with the so-called "half al faham" I ordered. First off, the size of the chicken was laughableâit was so tiny that it seemed like it was plucked from a pigeon rather than a chicken. If it had been any smaller, I would have expected it to come with a side of breadcrumbs and a magnifying glass.
The chicken was dry, overcooked, and lacked any semblance of flavor. It was supposed to be marinated, but it tasted like it had been dipped in a pool of blandness and then left in the sun for a few days. The skin was as tough as leather, making it almost impossible to chew. I could have sworn I heard it squeak when I bit into it.
The side dishes were no better. The rice was a clumpy, under-seasoned mess, and the salad seemed like it had been assembled from leftovers from last week. The hummus was a bland, pasty excuse for the real thing, and the pita bread was so stale it could have doubled as a doorstop.
To make matters worse, the service was abysmal. Our server was inattentive and seemed more interested in chatting with friends than taking care of customers. After waiting an eternity for our meal, when we finally asked for a refill on our drinks, we were met with a dismissive attitude and an eye-roll.
The ambiance of the restaurant was no betterâuncomfortable chairs, dim lighting that made it hard to see, and an overpowering smell of something that I can only describe as "desperation." The decor was a haphazard mix of outdated knick-knacks that looked like they were scavenged from a garage sale.
Overall, the Middle East Restaurant is a disaster of a dining establishment. If you're looking for a true taste of the Middle East, youâd be better off cooking a frozen dinner at home. Save yourself the disappointment and stay far, far away from this nightmare of...
