I will prefer kannur MRA rather than mattanur. FOOD Our appetite was lost when we saw hot curries being served in plastic light weight dishes. MRA mattanur should consider alternative methods of serving food healthier. We ordered 3 bread items and 2 signature dishes. Butter naan and appam disappointed us , as we expected same taste of other branches. However Kerala porotta was a better experience. The 2 signature curries ordered had fancy name highlighted, which was not felt in taste buds. Beef peralan felt like any other beef dishes from a nearby small restaurant, not keeping its name as from other branches of MRA. As you can read from a few reviews below, i felt the same FOOD IS OVERPRICED
BAKERY Despite coming on diwali there was not any packages that attracted us, normal sweets were repacked and sold at a higher price. Kunafa radius was significantly reduced. Customers cannot move freely enough and decided to purchase on what.
AMBIANCE They have put an effort for the ambiance in all aspects.it looks posh and a place would take my special guest to. Even though there are some points that are not customer friendly , like position of the wash area that is really seperated and far away causing elderly customers some difficulty. Lack of family privacy due to congestion of tables and no screens in between helps the peeping in next table.
Hygiene I would give a 100 out of 100. All the items and overall was perfect clean. Washrooms and sanitisation was perfect. Tables and seats were...
Read moreDear Team,
I had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant today. I came in for an ethnic lunch, but the place was overcrowded. We waited 15 minutes at a dirty table before it was cleaned, and then another 15 minutes for someone to take our order, despite my repeated attempts to get the cashier's attention. When someone finally took our order, it took 20 minutes for the meals to arrive. I had ordered a fish fry, but it seemed to have been forgotten. After reminding the staff multiple times, I received it much later than expected. Additionally, the air conditioning was not functioning, and we had to repeatedly ask for water refills and rice. I was dining with my 2-year-old child, so I expected more consideration for our needs. The bill came to around 650, but I question why we are being charged if the service is lacking. If staffing is an issue, it would be better to close the restaurant. We chose a premium establishment for a premium experience, but this level of service is comparable to a local diner, which often provides better treatment. I even asked the manager for a contact email to express my concerns, but he seemed uninterested in addressing the issue. If the restaurant cannot manage its operations effectively, it risks losing business to nearby...
