I would like to thank my K-drama and BTS fangirl kid for leading us to this fantastic experience at Mukbang Korean Restaurant. This place, being the first authentic Korean restaurant in Kerala, was a feast of exotic tastes and a confluence of cultures.

We had a hunch that the place may get busy by late evening. So we decided to have an early dinner and planned to reach there by 6:30 PM. Even though Mukbang is on the outskirts of the city, getting there was a challenge, owing to the sloth of traffic on the infamously narrow Thammanam road.

The hosts said that they are on a trial run to test the waters. Yet, the place had all the bells and whistles of an entry-level exotic restaurant. The pricing of dishes in general may appear a bit high for the setup. But trust me, you won't be complaining after the meal.

They have taken special care, right from setting up the aesthetics to listing items on the menu, so that local customers are not overwhelmed. However, the menu can still throw you off your typical guessing game. Not to worry though. The hosts will come to you and explain everything and would even suggest what would suit you based on your usual likings.

We had a small apprehension that they only had non-vegetarian dishes. But there are ample vegetarian offerings that are quite delicious as well. Upon suggestion by one of the hosts, Ms. Deepa, we went for Yangnyeom Chicken, Veg japchae, and Chicken cheese kimchi bokkeum bap.

Every single dish was scrumptious and the portion was just right. We got to experience hitherto unexperienced flavors and could enjoy the authenticity, simplicity, and quality of the dishes in every bite. Along with the main dish that we ordered, they also served many small accompaniments, including, soups, fries, salads, and pickles.

The hospitality on offer is beyond words. The staff is so down-to-earth and cordial that we absolutely felt at home. Ms. Hyeonju Park is a gem of a person. Despite being a busy time, she took the time and pleasure to have some playful moments with my kids.

I have no gripes about this place. But I would like to make a couple of suggestions. One, please offer more authentic Korean desserts and drinks. Two, as you gather steam and steady clientele, move on from BTS and K-drama properties and showcase more ethnic, traditional, and hidden aspects of original Korean culture. In addition to the tastebuds loving you guys already, our brains too would get yummy food for thought.

If you are looking for an unusual dining experience in Kochi, I would certainly recommend this place. We are certainly visiting this place again soon to explore more items on the menu. I hope the team is uninfluenced by the sudden limelight and keep their authenticity and adherence to quality throughout their path to...

I recently dined at Mukbang Korean Restaurant and had a delightful culinary journey through their menu. The restaurant offers an authentic Korean dining experience with a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes.

During my visit, I savored several dishes, including Veg Jajangmyeon, Tteokbokki, Beef Bulgogi Deopbap, Chicken Tangsuyuk, and Pork Jajangmyeon. Each dish left a lasting impression with distinct flavors and satisfying portions.

The Veg Jajangmyeon was a delightful vegetarian twist on the classic Korean black bean noodles. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the rich black bean sauce had a savory and slightly sweet taste that was incredibly appetizing.

Tteokbokki, a popular Korean street food, was a true delight. The rice cakes were chewy and soaked in a spicy and flavorful sauce. The combination of textures and the bold kick of heat made it a standout dish.

Beef Bulgogi Deopbap was a perfect harmony of marinated beef, vegetables, and rice. The tender beef slices were seasoned to perfection, and the accompanying vegetables added a refreshing crunch to the dish.

The Chicken Tangsuyuk was a highlight of my dining experience. The crispy battered chicken pieces were coated in a tangy and sweet sauce that was absolutely delectable. It was a burst of flavors with a delightful contrast of textures.

The Pork Jajangmyeon was a true indulgence. The combination of tender pork, fresh vegetables, and the rich black bean sauce created a harmonious blend of flavors. It was a hearty and comforting dish that showcased the essence of Korean cuisine.

The service at Mukbang Korean Restaurant was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff members who provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's ambiance was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, I highly recommend a visit to Mukbang Korean Restaurant for an unforgettable journey through authentic Korean flavors. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, their diverse menu offers something for everyone. Prepare to be delighted by the delicious Veg Jajangmyeon, Tteokbokki, Beef Bulgogi Deopbap, Chicken Tangsuyuk, and Pork Jajangmyeon that will leave you...

I heard that there's a Korean restaurant in Kochi, and being back in the city after many years, I was intrigued, so I decided to check it out. 1. I was pleasantly surprised to see the size of the place. It can seat at least 20 - 30 people comfortably. The decor is very simple, but pleasant. The only thing that was a bit difficult was the car parking area in front, which is rather steep slope for people who have walking difficulties. If that can be leveled out somehow, it would be fantastic. 2. FOOD: I am not a connoisseur or a chef, so I cannot accurately comment on the authenticity of the food, but as someone who enjoys trying new cuisines, the food was flavourful, colourful, and filling. We tried chicken, beef and pork items, and along with the soup and starters they provide, we were quite full at the end of the meal. The menu is quite extensive, so it ensures that you have a reason to return. Full marks on the quality of the food. Also, I was quite surprised at how reasonably priced it was. Two of us ate for INR 1500, and while we didn't stuff ourselves silly, we had enough to satiate our appetites - so this may depend on how much you eat! 3. TIMELINESS: This is important when dining out cos you don't want to place your order and then wait for 2 hours for the food! Mukbang did a good job on this, and everything was piping hot when it came to the table, and all items came within a reasonable time. Between chatting away with my friend but also being eager to taste the food, the wait time was acceptable. 4. SERVICE: The service was excellent - the person who waited on us was polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. This is a regular, family-type restaurant, and not a fine dining one - where you pay for certain things beyond the food. Therefore, I was quite happy with the service. As mentioned above, the approach is the only issue, but with regard to the overall ambience and service, Mukbang does a great job.
