ORYX VILLAGE — Restaurant in Kerala

Absolutely awesome food 👌 We were in search of Kerela cuisine and chanced upon this place. The fish, prawns, squid, and meat along with Malabar paratha were made to perfection and mouth wateringly delicious. We are going back tomorrow for more items that we could not try today!!

May 29, 2023 As promised in my earlier review posted yesterday (May 28, 2023), we came in again on May 29 for lunch to try the biriyani.

The Mangalam Biryani was a masterpiece of flavors, with the aromatic spices blending perfectly with the tender meat and fragrant rice. It was a dish that left a lasting impression and had me craving for more. The tawa prawns cooked in special Kerala spices were another highlight of the menu. Each bite was a burst of flavors, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. And let's not forget about the desserts! The sweet delicacies at Oryx Village were simply divine, offering a perfect ending to a memorable dining experience.

What truly stood out at Oryx Village was the exceptional service provided by the staff. I would like to give a special mention to steward Diluwar, whose attentiveness and professionalism added a personal touch to the dining experience. Diluwar's warm and friendly nature made me feel like a valued guest, and he went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was taken care of. His knowledge of the menu and willingness to recommend dishes made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Haneef, the manager of Oryx Village. His dedication to maintaining a high standard of service was evident throughout my visit. Mr. Haneef's presence and hands-on approach ensured that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. His attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set Oryx Village apart.

Went to this restaurant @evening around 7.00 PM on Sunday for the first time and my experience was Ambivalent 😐.Atmosphere was nice , we were 8 members and they have arranged table for us and seating was comfortable. First we ordered Mutton Nadan Soup - Taste was good. Then we ordered starters we tried : Chicken Lollypop, Fire Chicken Satey and Fish Fingers & Chips. These starters was very good in taste👌 except Fish fingers less spicy. Next we ordered some salads like Russian Salad and green salad. ( Then we asked the waiter about Biriyani Options and he told that Biriyani is finished 🤦‍♂️and suggested to order Fried Rice, Ghee Rice etc.... I have never come across any big restaurant in Mangaluru or coastal regions saying that Main Dish such as Biriyani is not available😅 and they didn't mentioned anywhere in the menu card also that the Biriyani Option is not there. We have come from so far place to taste Biriyani we end up with disappointment 😒. Next the waiter insisted us to take Chicken Platter Royal Arabic, we had to wait more than half an hour and the service was very slow, platter presentation was good and aesthetic though😍 but same taste with different Chicken Tikka and more pieces which was overpriced compared to any other restaurant. Next Prawns Tawa fry, we took Butter Nan, Tandoor Roti, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Fried Rice. Next Drinks Option : First of all waiter didn't placed any menu card for Soft Drinks and Desert option, since we were already full we neglected it. Took Mojito Mint Cooler which was very good. Some pineapple Juice, Fresh Lime, Lime Soda. Overall the experience was Some what Good and Bad, expecting them to improve more as it is the only restaurant in this region. Good Parking Space. Overall my rating 3.5 / 5.

This Amazingg restaurant has left us with a best impression!! Hospitable staff members,delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, a very spacious spot to conduct and host parties, A vast place for car parking facility ♥️ And the ambiance as soon as you enter is very welcoming!!. Staffs are extremely knowledgeable and made great recommendations and we could feel that making the customers happy is their main priority .. To be honest ,everything we tasted melted in our mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had in a while especially the platter,fish curry, tikka club sandwich were the most favourites as everyone simply loved it ! Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Also its Ideal for those who want to take out family for a gathering as i dont think its gonna burn a hole in their pockets 💸 Had to wait for about 20 minutes precise to get the main course which i think is normal as the food felt very fresh and hot with the right amout of spice😍 But we got our caesar salad and dragon chicken the minute after we ordered! As soon as we entered village cafe , there was music rendering at the background that we felt as if we were back in dubai! Very innovative set up with unique furnishings , lights and props! Can’t wait to return back and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to have a fine dining in and around kanhagad.. but i have heard that almost everyone comes here no matter how far they stay🤍 but , We are so fortunate to have this place just a few kilometers drive away from our home and yes if im right i had come here for more than 8 times consecutively after being settled here in India!!
