It may look like your average neighborhood restaurant, but Rajmahal Village is anything but! We walked into the restaurant and were immediately transported to a serene ambience which was quite a contrast to the highway it overlooks. While we were fumbling over the menu, indecisive about what to order, the host was extremely helpful and suggested from the menu after knowing our preferences. Never, and I can't stress this enough, hesitate to seek the help of the host. No one knows better about the menu than him. We got our food after a while and to say it was appetising would be an understatement. But dishe that struck out the most was the chilli beef fry, which were strips of heaven with crispy and spicy crust and the moment you bite into it, the beef melts into your mouth and my friends nearly had a foodgasm then and there. The kunjikkozhi pepper chicken roast which was one of the day's special was also really good but we personally felt it was a little under spiced. All the regular items that you normally order when out were also well made. But what swept us off our feet was the VILLAGE SPECIAL CHICKEN BIRYANI which is one of their signature dishes and rightly so. It's a treat for the taste buds with the juices of the tender chicken oozing into your mouth the masalas rightly spiced. The quantity is generous and two persons could easily feed on one biryani and satiate their hunger. We had to wait a bit longer for the food but apart from that we were completely satisfied. The staffs were polite and the decor elegant. This is one of those restaurants that completely surprise you, with great food and...
Read moreAfter being taken up by Ruchi caterers, Not sure if they really care about the Customers or not. Had a experience now when booked for a Sadhya and they had the 'courtesy' of serving us the normal Lunch even though we specifically ordered for Sadhya. And now we are corrected and somewhat scammed when we and the others are having the same food. I'm only bothering to write up these only because we RESERVERD or PREORDERED their so called Sadhya for a get together a day before. And all the drama happens when we spotted the difference from another person's platter. We had to stay 'corrected' when clearly we are the ones who are 'wrong'. Just because they have a not so bad reputation for their restaurant doesn't mean they can talk against or talk bad to their customers. No restaurant can't take pride to talk against customers especially when they are in group right I'm the middle of a family event happening inside their Pride and Joy Restaurant. Food is okay here but this is huge let down to me and specially to our family members who have made up their mind to not visit or even recommend...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ruji Restaurant and indulging in their Kerala meal. The spread included a variety of dishes such as sambar, fish curry, olan, kalan, leaf curry, beef fry, mint lime, and more.
The sambar was flavorful and packed with vegetables, while the fish curry was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice. The olan, a traditional Kerala dish made with lentils and coconut milk, was creamy and delicious. The kalan, a yogurt-based curry, was tangy and paired well with the other dishes.
The leaf curry was a standout dish, with a unique blend of spices and a hint of sweetness. The beef fry was tender and had a nice crispy exterior, adding a savory element to the meal. The mint lime drink was a refreshing accompaniment to the spicy curries.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the Kerala meal at Ruji Restaurant. The flavors were authentic and the dishes were well-executed. I would highly recommend trying this meal to anyone looking to experience the bold and delicious flavors of...
