In my culinary explorations over the years, which are well-documented in the myriad reviews on my profile, it's an uncommon joy to discover a restaurant that makes a lasting impression, particularly in Kerala's dining scene. Sandalwood is one such rare find.

It offers the perfect combination of tasty food, great service, and excellent ambiance, all at a reasonable price. The large transparent glass partition between the dining area and the kitchen serves as an emblem of their commitment to professionalism, offering us a glimpse into the preparation of the dishes. I always appreciate being able to see how the food is prepared, as it bolsters my trust in the care with which it is handled.

The Dahi Bahl I ate here was the best of its kind that I have ever had. It's a must-try. It's not only visually appealing but also extremely tasty. I've never eaten this type of dahi before.😋

The Chicken Biriyani was above average, though not exceptional. I've had better. However, what stands out to me is their consistent quality. I've had the misfortune of ordering from other restaurants where the quality varies; sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's lacking. The consistency Sandalwood offers is commendable, a fact emphasized by my five repeat orders during unexpected guest visits.

The Stuffed Gulab Jamun struck a harmonious balance of sweetness, served warm, meltingly soft, and just perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

The Chum Chum was both unique and tasty. It's always a delight to see new options on a menu.

The Ras Malai was decent. But not for my taste buds.

Their Tandoori Chicken is delicious. Their packaging when delivered, which includes easy-to-eat plastic boxes rather than plastic covers used by other restaurants, is convenient and also it is semi-reusable.

I am keen to try more from their menu in the future. 🤤

Overall, this is an excellent restaurant that stays true to its claim of being run by ex-5star chefs. Their illustrious background and passion is seen in every facet of the restaurant. From the meticulously curated decor that creates a warm inviting ambiance to the premium utensils that grace the tables, to the way food is served, to the clean washrooms, it's evident that no detail has been overlooked. I fervently hope Sandalwood becomes a massive success and sets a new benchmark in Kerala's dining landscape.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Four Star Hotel in Karingalathani, and I must say that the experience was truly delightful. One of the highlights of my visit was the Malhoot and Biryani, which were absolutely awesome.

Let's start with the Malhoot. The moment the dish arrived at my table, I was captivated by its enticing aroma. The Malhoot had a perfect balance of spices, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving for more. The tender pieces of meat, combined with the aromatic spices, resulted in a dish that was both rich and incredibly satisfying. Each bite was a burst of flavor, and I could truly appreciate the culinary expertise that went into its preparation. It was evident that the chefs at the Four Star Hotel take great pride in their craft.

Now, let's talk about the Biryani. As a fan of this classic Indian dish, I have had the opportunity to try Biryani at various places, but the one at the Four Star Hotel was exceptional. The fragrant basmati rice was cooked to perfection, each grain separate and fluffy. The meat, whether it was chicken, lamb, or even vegetarian options, was succulent and infused with the aromatic spices that made the Biryani truly stand out. The layers of flavors in the dish were expertly balanced, making it an absolute delight to savor. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail in the presentation of the Biryani, which further enhanced the overall dining experience.

It was a great experience with you sandalwood restaurant . The quality and service you provide is upto the mark ! The food i ordered was chappathi ,butter nan ,sandalwood special chicken curry, chicken fried with nuts,all those dishes were superb and delicious! There correct flavours and ingredients made the food so good . I have reached there at 12:55 pm and just when i seated itself the staff came and take the order and he was very cleanly dressed up and just took the order with a pleasant smile and i asked him for suggestion , he had done it well . I have an exam at 1:30 at lakkidi college so i have asked him to provide the food ASP …He said that it will take only 15 mins so i have done my order too and also he had given’s us the chicken fry as starter at first at 1:10 pm and the main course at 1:15 . Correct time management i have seen there . The another attraction to this restaurant was its ambience and cleanliness . The dine table , restaurant interior , washroom was very cleanly maintained. The staff behaviour was extremely good . Its my first experience with you and i hope you will maintain all this till last and serve us good food . After finsihing my food i have told the owner who was a lady standing in the cash counter and there was a chef too , the food which you provided were awesome and all the dishes were properly flavoured . And they also told that they provide home delivery to mine residential place .

Food , service, ambience, hygiene all were great but something i felt which was missing is that a family space or room but its not a problem just mentioning...
