Saravana Bhavan Pure Veg. — Restaurant in Kerala

Please Do not eat at least in this Sarvana branch. Their waiters are pathetic and arrogant. Totally destroying the image of Sarvana bhavans

Very Very Very Very poor service. I went to the hotel Saravana Bhavan near Athani Junction, Nedumbassery in Kochi on Feb 28th, 2022 today at 2 PM. The way the waiters treat customers is worst. "Kannan" was the waiter who totally ill - treated us when asked about ordering food. He did not respect us at all. We were very disappointed. The food was ordered initially Plain Uttappam and he brought Onion Uttappam. When asked about it, he totally disrespected us and said " U Order this now u have to eat this or take it for parcel. I will not change it now. I asked his name and he said " Kannan from Tamilnadu Do whatever you can do". he said " in a very arrogant voice as though the mistake was in our part. When I said pls call ur manager. The Manager (so called Mr. Kumar) came with angry face and said rudely" U will get whatever u have order, he said "Aah okay Okay Just eat this and go". Is this the way you treat customers? We demand prompt action him immediately. Sit seems waiter and manager have very good relationships. Not interested in listening to customer. The manager later went inside. When I told to called manager again. The waiter said" Pay whatever you have otherwise we will hit you back and that will not be good". Finally I paid and left the place with a very disgusting bitter taste.

I recently dined at this restaurant , a charming vegetarian hotel near Cochin International Airport, and had a delightful experience. I tried the thattu dosa, poratta, and ghee roast, and each dish was delicious. The thattu dosa was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a wonderful blend of flavors. The poratta was light and flaky, just as it should be, and the ghee roast was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of ghee to enhance the taste without being overwhelming.

There are ample reasons to pull over. Healthy vegetarian foods, ample parking, AC restaurant, clean restrooms, more over good service. We are regular visitors to this place and the most we have had from here is chilli porotta and masala dosa along with tea. We have been getting it better than the last time. Also we have tried another dishes too. But we recommend the aforementioned for a fellow 'eater'. As I said before, parking space and restrooms are the important ones for travellers on NH and this hotel gives it both along with tasty food and good service. One thing to mention, few months back there was an inspection report came from health department that they found rotten food items from here. I would say it's ok because it is a vegetarian restaurant and we would detect if there anything awkward in the served food from the smell.
