For all the hype we heard in Ashtamudi about this restaurant, we expected way more than what we experienced. But this is a very decent and nice restaurant for sure. May be, we expected too much. 🙂🙂🙂

First of all, we expected Kerala specialities for breakfast like Appam Ulli Theeyal, Puttu Kadalai curry, etc... But none of them were there. So if you want these items, then this is not the restaurant for the same. Second, they have Idly, Dosa, poori, and the likes. I felt like it was Tamilnadu Cuisine. But the food was good. Nothing to complain about. Third, it is a spacious restaurant with multiple tables and a large parking space right on the main road (I guess it is a highway as well). It is there in the road which connects Kollam to Ashtamudi. Fourth, it is very well maintained. Neat & hygienic for sure. And the service was very prompt. They understood Tamil, English & Hindi as well. So, you'll not have challenge with communicating at this restaurant. Fifth, the pricing is very nominal and for 2 people you would spend around Rs. 250 to Rs. 300. Something that I love about South Indian breakfast is that you can't make it very costly and you'll never go wrong with choosing a South Indian breakfast option. Be it for the...

A perfect veg restaurant in highway in kollam. Dine in, delivery, take away Had been here for breakfast. Their atmosphere was too gud. Coming to food as we travelled in a group with kids idli was mandatory. Soft hot idlis with sambhar nd two types of chutney was yummy. Their vada was crispy, hot and soft but bit oily. Their pineapple kesari is a must try. Ghee roast alias cone dosa how my niece says had the good aroma of the ghee. The plain roast ordered with it too had the taste of ghee. Their pongal was not too oily or ghee. Ghee masala dosa was good and the potato masala was not spicy. Onioin utthapam was in golden color with good amount of onions. The size of utthapam is enough for a person who is is light eater. Their upma has a special mention. Well cooked non sticky white upma. Not sure whether its bombay rava or rice rava. Had a touch of iyengar style upma. A nice filter coffee. The dine in didn't disappoint us. But take away for dinner was a total disappointment. Ordered plain roast, onion uthappam and podi roast. The onion uthappam had green chilles, ginger in it. It was like a mixture of rava dosa and onion uthappam. The tomato chutney was too spicy. Mostly the hotels doesn't serve well for take aways as they...

Relaxing and Rejuvinating. Affordable Rates, Premium quality.

Heavens Restaurant on Earth.

I was just drivng from Cohin to TVM and i just needed to stop at a decent place as I wanted some tea and I wanted to use a decent bathroom. I just took a chance and stopped at this by sheer chance. And I went to the loo first. I was amazed at its cleanliness. Raly squeaky clean with good bathroom decor. Then i went to the hotel as such and I was mind blown at the ambience. It looked like I was in a 5 star hotel and trust me, it looked better than Taj inside. Cleaner, better and very very very hospitable staff. There was mild soothing music too. It immediately soothed my journeys stress. I was dumbfounded. I was expecting this place to be a bomb in prices..when i saw the menu I was startled. everything ranging from Rs30 - 130 approx.

Insanely cool - I left recharged and refreshed for the next 2 hour ride.

When returning from TVM to Cochin, i had bookmarked this place on my Google maps and I stopped there this time with my wife and kid. They all loved it ..the music was so soothing and relaxing. I still cant get over the hangover.

I also told the watchman while i left...this place is real amazing...and he smiled and...

For anyone visiting Kollam, I would highly recommend this place. I'm in total love with this place. It's a wonderful place to hangout and dine with your beloved ones. The place is very famous for it's wide variety of food to choose from. They have mainly North Indian and Chinese food. All south Indian Food Items are also available. The place is so neatly maintained. The atmosphere is so calm and serene. You can have a very peaceful dining. You should try the Mushroom Soup, Chettinad varieties and Starters with baby corn etc. The Nan, especially butter Nan is so nice. They have Cashew Nan also. If you are hanging out with friends, then you can order many items and share as well. The prices are reasonable. They have a clean restroom outside the main building, which is kinda nice. The waiters are very friendly. I guess most of them are from east of India. They take Debit/Credit cards. I'm not sure about NFC payments though. Highly recommended. 5/5 my rating.

Visited Sree Suprabhatam Restaurant for lunch, but the experience was disappointing. Since we arrived around 2 PM, the sadhya was already finished, so we ordered vegetable biryani, vegetable noodles, and schezwan noodles. Unfortunately, none of the dishes met expectations. The veg biryani felt more like tomato rice with a few vegetables thrown in, lacking the flavors you'd expect from a proper biryani. The schezwan noodles(photo for reference) were the biggest letdown—it seemed like regular noodles with just some chili powder sprinkled on top. Even the vegetable noodles were below average, with neither taste nor quality justifying the price. To add to the inconvenience, finding parking was a challenge due to ongoing NH roadwork. We visited based on positive reviews, but it seems the place is only reliable for breakfast. If they want to retain customers, they seriously need to improve both the quality and quantity of their lunch menu.

Delicious food. Consistent quality. Good restroom facilities available for travelers. I'm reducing two starts due to; • Un-attentiveness of staffs - There are just 2-3 staffs serving all the tables, or taking orders which makes it difficult for customers causing more waiting times. • Usage of paper plates, cups, aluminium foil boxes from breakfast till dinner for customers - They serve tea, coffee, and even hot water in paper glasses which isn't good. They serve lunch in plantain leaf but all other accompaniments are being served in paper cups. Other items like fried rice/ biriyani are served in aluminium foil boxes with paper plates. My humble request to the management to atleast use normal tumblers for coffee, tea, and other beverages. If you are still planning to use paper cups, atleast upgrade them to a better quality for the sake of customers.
