Taste and Mist, located in the scenic vistas of Wayanad, is a frequent dining destination for my family and me. This charming eatery is notable for its ample parking space, a feature that immediately sets a stress-free tone for the dining experience.
The food quality here is commendable. While their Biriyani is popular, I personally favor their meals, which are a delightful mix of flavors and textures, indicative of the local culinary traditions. The tea, a staple in any Indian restaurant, is exceptionally good here, offering a perfect blend of strength and aroma. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in the fish dishes, where the quality sometimes falls short of the otherwise high standards set by the establishment.
The staff behavior at Taste and Mist adds to the overall pleasant experience. They are courteous and attentive, ensuring that diners feel welcomed and valued. For travelers on long journeys, the restaurant is a haven, thanks to its well-maintained restrooms and the serene atmosphere that allows for a relaxing break from the road.
In terms of value for money, this restaurant scores high. The combination of good food, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance makes it a worthwhile visit without being overly heavy on the wallet. The serene setting of Wayanad, coupled with the quality dining experience at Taste and Mist, makes it a recommended stop for both locals and tourists alike. Whether it's for a family meal, a quick tea break, or a leisurely dining experience, this restaurant is sure to leave...

Chicken 65 was uncooked. Just smeared masala on the outside, but inside was just raw meat. For this they charged Rs 546!
Fresh mosambi juice was sour, when asked about it, server is saying that we should have consumed it immediately after it came. Since we had it after 5 minutes, taste changed it seems. Parotta and kurma was good.
The waiters hide away the menu also. They don't show you the prices. You get to know the exorbitant prices only during billing time. What an idea...
We asked them to just call the owner and give phone or give number to us so that we can call and give the owners feedback about these rude staff and poor chef, but they outright declined to connect us to their owners. Looks like these staff don't want their owner to know the poor taste and quality they are giving to their customers.
Unless you have too much money to waste and don't care about the quality of food, then you can go here. Otherwise, avoid...

I had high hopes for Taste and Mist, but it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The food quality was extremely poor—dishes lacked flavor, freshness, and any real effort in presentation. Even simple items were either overcooked or underseasoned.
To make matters worse, the portions were incredibly small. For the price they charge, you’d expect at least a decent serving and some level of taste, but neither were delivered. It's frustrating to walk away both hungry and feeling ripped off.
Definitely not worth the money. There are far better places around that serve tastier food at a fraction...
