Thara Restaurant — Restaurant in Kerala

Though there's a board with the day's specials mentioned, half of them are not available. Only those foods which have demand, such as beef fry, chilly chicken, fried rice, chicken 65, Porotta etc are there, even though a big display handwritten board mentions Garlic chicken, Butter chicken etc! Amongst these dishes, in the morning, I once had enquired and confirmed the time and availability of a particular dish. But when I turned up at that time, they told me that it's not available. This happned a couple of times, so the trust factor is nil. Moreover, the food stuff (including Fried Rice!) is pre-prepared and kept in a kind of counter, and microwaved and given as per order. The cost is also higher compared to another restaurant close by. That said, the food tastes okay, and the amount is just adequate. I would prefer this place only if the nearby restaurants are...

Food is kind of affordable and yeah better than any nearby hotels. Trouble starts when you wanna pay using PayTM or Bhim/UPI transactions as the aged cashier sitting in the counter barely knows to operate any of those and really pain in the a** waiting him to confirm the payment. When I am staying Vaduthala I will always prefer thara because north Kerala stile food will avaliable. Also very friendly staffs. Also beef items very tasty in the hotel.
