Tharavadu Restuarant — Restaurant in Kerala

I have been there last week with my friends. It is maily a Toddy Shop and Restaurant. Good parking space. There are two non a/c restaurants and an a/c restaurant with only 4 tables (max. 20 peoples). The a/c restaurant is always full if you are coming there after 1 pm.

There is a variety of non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes available. Don’t expect much seafood items or fresh water fish from here. We ordered 1 Beef masala, 2 duck roast, 1 Chemmeen fry, 1 podimeen fry, 1 fish curry (Tuna) and 6 lunches and of course 3 liter of toddy. The side dished was so tasty except the beef roast; I felt the beef roast was a bit old and tasting bad. Lunch was ok, served with fish gravy. Lunch comes with only limited dishes (one thoran, one pickle, and could not find what kind of dish it was the remaining two) and it was not so tasty.

Overall staffs are very polite and helpful. The total cost of all the above items was merely Rs.1500, cost per person was just Rs.250/per...

Takeaway order of malabar porta, ginger chicken and chilli chicken were placed. They asked me to wait for 20 minutes as the porotas are freshly done. I just peeped into the kitchen and the frozen porotas are just heated for me, also both the sauce of the curries looked same in color and I alerted them issues and I was given no answer. So sorry to say that they are not kitchen professionals, the worst quality of food. I doubt that this THARAVAD isn't the same Tharavad chain restaurants which we find in Kerlala and...
